Role Description Our client is a growing aerospace engineering firm based in Montreal, specializing in aircraft interior modifications, retrofit programs, and STC-certified engineering solutions. They are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to own design execution, technical decisions, and project delivery across multiple aircraft interior modification programs. • Complete the design of sophisticated systems that integrate hardware and software • Complete sophisticated material specification, layout/drawing preparation, and appropriate follow-up • Complete recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction • Perform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design • Identify and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations • Project Engineering and Commissioning at customer sites • Communicate, train, and work with customer for final system design • Travels up to 25% to different customer locations/Dematic locations

• The Senior Mechanical Engineer (SME) Senior Project Manager (SPM) shall contribute and support leadership of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Process, and Utility Engineering in addition to Project Management efforts of cross-discipline Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEP/FP) projects for the firm. • The SME SPM shall be a graduated engineer from an ABET-accredited institution who shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through engineering, design, technical leadership, and project management efforts. • The SME SPM is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring subordinate staff in expanding their capabilities and contributions. • The SME SPM shall execute design duties as required to ensure quality products. • The SME SPM shall be a Mechanical Engineer registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) at a minimum. • Additional credentials are encouraged and desired.

• Responsible for the design of deliverables associated with substation design projects supporting one of our largest electric utility clients. • Attends project site visits to assist in the development of scope of work and help define project objectives. • Prepares engineering cost estimate and man-hour estimates and schedules. • Develops top level documents for Electrical Physical and Protection & Control packages. • Provides guidance to junior engineers and/or designers in the development of detailed design documents. • Performs calculations for studies and reports including, but not limited to, grounding & lightning protection, and AC/DC load studies. • Prepares equipment specifications for procurement of major equipment. • Performs quality control reviews of design calculations, and drawings. • Provides short term field support during construction. • Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (Civil/structural, telecom, transmission, etc.) • Serves as technical advisor for the team.
