• Assist in the design of overhead transmission lines, including: Plan and profile development Structure spotting support Basic drafting and design tasks • Support engineering calculations such as: Sag and tension analysis Clearance checks • Learn and utilize industry software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD) • Assist in preparing engineering drawings, reports, and material lists • Coordinate with internal teams including structural, environmental, and survey groups • Participate in field visits and site assessments as needed • Support quality control processes and documentation

• Responsible for the design of deliverables associated with substation design projects supporting one of our largest electric utility clients. • Attends project site visits to assist in the development of scope of work and help define project objectives. • Prepares engineering cost estimate and man-hour estimates and schedules. • Develops top level documents for Electrical Physical and Protection & Control packages. • Provides guidance to junior engineers and/or designers in the development of detailed design documents. • Performs calculations for studies and reports including, but not limited to, grounding & lightning protection, and AC/DC load studies. • Prepares equipment specifications for procurement of major equipment. • Performs quality control reviews of design calculations, and drawings. • Provides short term field support during construction. • Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (Civil/structural, telecom, transmission, etc.) • Serves as technical advisor for the team.

Overview E2 is looking for a Senior Transmission Line engineer to join our team in Southern California (remote work is also available) to support several major electric utility clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Transmission and Distribution Line projects using PLS-CADD Software. The position will work under the direction of the Transmission Engineering Manager. Responsibilities - The successful candidate will lead transmission design efforts with projects ranging from 34.5kV-500kV. - Develop routing and design of Transmission/Distribution lines utilizing Power Line Systems (PLS) software, PLS-CADD. - Model existing lines and poles using PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole software. - Assigns tasks and provides guidance to junior team members and coordinates QC reviews for work performed by junior level engineers and/or designers. - Prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and within time constraints. - Lead design teams to develop and complete full construction packages for transmission line projects. - Communicate and coordinate project activities with the project manager, client, and other stakeholders as needed. - Perform careful self-checking activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to senior design reviewers. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. - 6+ years of experience working in transmission design or similar with utility or consulting engineering firm. - Strong knowledge of electrical transmission system (69kV through 500kV). - Proficient using Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook). - Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred - Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration. - Relevant experience is either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering, and leading teams. Wage Data Per State Requirements Salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment. • Prepare complex invoices using Excel in client-required formats. • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports in Excel using extensive WBS. • Review and QC actual vs projected hours and costs. • Obtain, print, and prepare invoice backup as requested. • Run WIP reports for assigned projects and review with Project Managers. • Run invoices using accounting software and submit by client-portal or email as required prior to date due. • Work with Contract Administrators to review invoices. • Work with Billing Manager to resolve past due AR. • Set-up and maintain electronic files on server. • Become familiar with billing terms and rates in contracts for assigned projects. • Reconcile WIP to identify billable costs, clear unbillable costs, and resolve outstanding discrepancies such as aged costs, incomplete transfers, etc. • Review invoice backup to ensure that timesheet, expense reports, and vendor invoices perfectly match invoiced costs by subtask and work with supervisor and corporate staff to effect changes needed. • Submit invoices to client by email or regular mail as required prior to date due. • Prepare detailed budget and billed-to-date tables in required work breakdown structure. • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure that invoices are timely received, backup matches invoiced costs and correct rates are used. • Coordinate with company contract administrators, project managers and client as needed to provide timely responses to questions. • Other administrative duties as assigned.
