Job Description

CAD Design Intern

Vulcury

• Collaborate with the Head Engineer to develop and refine 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings. • Use software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, and Fusion 360 to create designs across various sectors. • Optimize designs for manufacturability, ensuring they align with different manufacturing processes. • Support internal initiatives related to referring clients to appropriate manufacturers, including supplier research and analysis. • Prepare design presentations and technical documentation for client projects. • Participate in client meetings as required to understand project goals and present design updates.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
  • At least 6 months of hands-on experience with 2D and 3D modeling
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, or Fusion 360
  • Understanding of how design choices interact with various manufacturing processes is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for remote collaboration
  • Past client experience is a plus, though not required.
  • Must have a personal computer with CAD software installed
  • Ability to work a late-day shift starting in the afternoon to overlap with US hours.
  • Must be available to work remotely and coordinate with our team based in India.
