Job Description

Member of Partnerships Staff, Physical AI

Runway

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science. We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world. World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached. Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you. About the role *Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in NYC, San Francisco, and Seattle We are hiring for Runway’s Partnerships team to drive new commercial opportunities in the broader physical AI realm. You will conceptualize, validate, and help scale the deployment of Runway’s general world models in areas including but not limited to robotics and autonomous driving. This role works closely across several teams at Runway, especially with applied research. What you’ll do - Research and identify high potential opportunities within physical AI - specifically robotics and self-driving cars - and package those into compelling technical and commercial proposals - Execute outreach against a highly targeted list to build pipeline of new business opportunities catalyzed by Runway’s product offering and upcoming releases around general world models - Partner closely with Research and Product teams to share feedback and underscore opportunities for further research and development; think creatively beyond our current customer base to imagine future applications - Define use cases, scope, sequencing, and success metrics for Runway’s Physical AI - Help shape the commercial narrative (decks, demos, proposals, and deal memos) that quickly highlight Runway’s differentiation and ROI for prospects, customers, executives, and internal teams - Structure and negotiate non-standard partnerships through contract signature What you’ll need - 7+ years of overall experience across business development, partnerships, corporate development, or investment roles - Are motivated by the opportunity to build new systems in a high-growth environment, with a focus on quality, scale, and automation - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities - A strong bias towards action and belief that no task is too small for you - High technical aptitude for understanding complex technologies, tools, systems, and issues - Mindset to think creatively and think beyond past checklists and playbooks - Highly resourceful with the ability to create structure and work autonomously amidst ambiguity - Represent Runway with credibility and executive presence in customer and partner settings as soon as you start - New York or SF-based preferred Salary range: $215,000 - 275,000 Working at Runway Great things come from great teams. We’d love to hear from you. We’re committed to creating a space where our employees can bring their full selves to work and have equal opportunity to succeed. So regardless of race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, origin, ability, age, veteran status, if joining this mission speaks to you, we encourage you to apply.
