AI Strategy Lead
SentiLink
• Partner with functional leaders to identify high-leverage processes suitable for AI enablement. • Map workflows, quantify baseline performance (cost, time, quality), and prioritize opportunities based on ROI and feasibility. • Develop clear business cases for AI investments, including expected impact and risks. • Lead end-to-end deployment of AI tools and workflow redesign across pilot functions. • Redesign processes to embed AI natively rather than layering tools onto existing inefficiencies. • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure adoption, training, and operational continuity. • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and risk standards. • Define standardized metrics to assess AI impact (e.g., cost per unit, throughput, error rates, headcount leverage). • Establish dashboards and reporting cadences to track performance. • Deliver sustained productivity improvements in pilot processes, with documented performance over at least six months. • Present regular updates to executive leadership on outcomes, risks, and expansion opportunities. • Develop and document a repeatable AI evaluation and implementation framework. • Create internal playbooks, governance guidelines, and training materials for responsible AI usage. • Establish an intake process for AI ideas across the company. • Expand the program beyond initial pilots as results are validated.

Thumbtack is the one app you need to take care of and improve your home — from personalized guidance to AI tools and a best-in-class hiring experience. Every day in every county of the U.S., people turn to Thumbtack to complete urgent repairs, seasonal maintenance and bigger improvements. We help homeowners know which projects to do, when to do them and who to hire from our growing community of 300,000 local service businesses. If making an impact inspires you, join us. Imagine what we’ll build together. About the People Team Thumbtack's People team has AI at the center of our 2026 strategy, leading the reinvention of how we work and helping steer the company through this transformative moment. Our HR Business Partners work shoulder-to-shoulder with leaders on the org decisions that drive business outcomes, and increasingly, on how AI can expand what's possible. This role is a dedicated investment in building AI-powered products that help us deliver on that strategy and expand the reach of our team. It sits within the HRBP team, where deep business context, HR expertise, and AI product-building capabilities come together. About the Role We're hiring a Senior AI Solutions Builder, someone who will identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI across People team workflows and build those solutions end-to-end. You’ll embed with the HRBP team to learn how the organization works and how People expertise is delivered today, then partner closely with the team to turn the most valuable opportunities into products. A likely first project: an AI-powered product that gives managers on-demand access to HRBP-caliber coaching, guidance, and process support. You'll shape what gets built working alongside a broad set of cross-functional partners, including executive leadership to collaborate on direction and priorities. What You'll Do - Develop clear product requirements for AI-powered People workflows: conduct user research, map processes, and identify how AI can have the greatest impact. - Design and build AI tools: agents, automations, and knowledge retrieval systems — that scale how the People expertise is delivered. - Structure the knowledge layer: translate HR policies, playbooks, frameworks, and org context into AI-ready formats. - Partner with People Data Science and Engineering on data integrations: Workday, data warehouse, surveys, internal sources. - Define safety and governance guardrails: escalation to humans, handling sensitive topics, privacy and accuracy standards. - Evaluate build vs. buy tradeoffs: assess enterprise tools vs. custom solutions and recommend what will work in practice. - Own adoption and impact: lead rollout, manager training, feedback loops, and success metrics (e.g., response quality, employee satisfaction). In order to be successful, you must bring - 5+ years of experience in product management, HR technology, people analytics, digital transformation, or a related field where you built and shipped tools that people used. - Hands-on builder: able to go from idea to production using AI-assisted tools (coding environments, prototyping tools, agentic platforms) - Solid understanding of HR functions and the employee lifecycle; strong judgment on which problems matter and what solutions will earn trust - Familiar with data flows from source systems (HRIS, data warehouse, surveys) into user-facing products; understands what’s possible without needing to be a data engineer - Track record of delivering in ambiguous environments, partnering closely with senior stakeholders on direction and priorities - High builder energy and learning velocity: stays current, experiments often, and thrives in a fast-moving space - Strong collaborator: builds trust and community, not just products. Expected salary ranges - For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $157,500 - $192,500 - For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range for the role is currently $142,200 - $173,800 - For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $134,100 - $163,900 Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. #LI-Remote Thumbtack embraces diversity.
