Job Description Position Summary The Field Service Project Manager will schedule, plan, resource, and manage all technical activities aimed at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Essential Functions - Provide support to sales team with development of project work scope and sales estimates (cost to include labor, subcontract, materials, tools, etc.). - Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned field service projects. - Lead and execute onsite line-up meetings with field technicians at customer locations for critical projects and provide technical guidance as needed. - Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. - Interact daily with assigned field technicians to ensure successful project execution. - Report regularly on project status to management and customers. - Assign responsibilities to field technicians and monitor completion. - Coordinate customer site activities with customers, technicians, and sales department. - Monitor project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions as needed. - Provide technical training support for field technicians. - Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project execution. - Monitor project financial performance and make informed decisions to control project costs and ensure profitability. - Monitor projects for scope creep, initiate change orders as required, and communicate financial and delivery impacts to stakeholders. - The majority of work will be office based and revolve around project planning, project kick-off, project execution and completion oversight, and field service technician support activities and training. Qualifications Required Education and Experience - Four-year degree in Engineering or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Work Type: This is a remote position working out of your home office. A hybrid work arrangement, at our Elizabethtown, KY facility, will also be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. - Ability to analyze customer scope of work, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and work requirements to complete assigned projects. - Ability to run multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty and duration at one time. - Ability to work independently but also coordinate effectively as part of a team. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible/adaptable to rapidly changing priorities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Project management skills to coordinate above duties with customers, evaluate/manage project budgets, and develop/manage project timelines (Microsoft Project/Excel). - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
