Cybersecurity Analyst
Emerging Tech
Role Description Emerging Tech is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to serve as a technical member of a Cyber Action Team supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) efforts. This role will support the development, review, and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation and artifacts required for federal system authorization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cybersecurity documentation, risk management, and ATO processes, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced federal environment. Key Responsibilities - Serve as a technical member of a Cyber Action Team supporting ATO and ATC package development - Develop, review, and modify ATO documentation to support authorization decisions - Write and update technical artifacts to ensure completeness and compliance of cybersecurity packages - Track and monitor Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and escalate risks as appropriate - Identify, document, and assess cybersecurity risks and threats, and communicate findings to leadership - Provide input to cybersecurity artifacts and contribute to client-facing technical briefings - Track project deliverables including schedules, artifacts, reports, and metrics - Provide technical and cybersecurity expertise to resolve complex issues - Work independently under general direction to analyze and solve technical challenges - Support meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-up actions as needed Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience - Experience supporting IT systems, including analysis, design, and integration of information systems and COTS solutions - Strong understanding of structured analysis and design methodologies - Experience evaluating cost factors and risk in technical environments - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field - Additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) - Experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations or modernization efforts Benefits - Retirement Plan - Group Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) - Paid Time Off - Referral Bonus - Opportunity for performance-based incentives Compensation Competitive and commensurate with experience
