Learn more at careers.alight.com About the Role The Delivery Specialist is responsible for the day to day processing, monitoring, and support of electronic file exchanges. This role ensures that inbound and outbound files are delivered accurately, securely, and on schedule, while investigating and resolving file transmission issues as they arise. Works closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain reliable data exchange operations and meet service-level expectations. Responsibilities - Providing technical expertise with internal and external users regarding data files/interfaces. - Providing ongoing production support by monitoring productions jobs, restarting failed jobs, and performing defect analysis and correction. - Investigating data and system troubleshooting maintaining accurate documentation on internal issues. - Understanding data requirements and file/interface layouts required by internal/external clients and third parties and translate those requirements into file/interface specifications - Coordinating follow-up meetings with clients or vendors for new files interfaces implementation or updates to existing files interfaces. - Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new processes to assist the Operational team in handling special requests and improving customer service. - Coordinating annual enrollment activities between internal and external clients. Including but not limited to meetings, calendar of activities, interfaces and audit - Enhancing of existing system requirements based on new/changing business requirements. Requirements - Have Bachelor in business administration / computer science or related field - Possess Knowledge in SQL language and high attention to detail and accuracy. - Able to perform audits to high volume of data. Able to learn and apply new skills. - Possess Verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish) - Able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Possess MS Excel and Word skills. Able to navigate Alight’s proprietary systems and web based tools. - Able to interact professionally with a diverse group (executives, managers, legal, and subject matter experts). - Able to prioritize work continually and produce a significant volume of work efficiently within performance standards. What You’ll Be Working On: - Data Exploration & Insight Generation: Autonomously investigate complex datasets to identify trends, user behaviors, and the performance impact of new product features. - Strategic Problem Solving: Transform high-level business questions into actionable research plans, utilizing a self-directed approach to uncover meaningful answers. - Data Visualization & Storytelling: Design and develop clear, compelling visual representations of data that translate technical findings into easily digestible insights for diverse stakeholders. - Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate how users interact with the product to provide data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation. - Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a bridge between raw data and decision-makers by asking probing questions and presenting findings with clarity and gusto. Qualifications - You have 5+ years of data analysis/business intelligence experience. - You have experience partnering cross-functionally, e.g., with product, engineering, and operations. - You have a demonstrated track record of influencing business decisions through data. Requirements - Technical Skills: - You have advanced SQL expertise. You understand window functions, CTEs, and complex data transformations. - You can tinker with Python or a comparable language. - You have strong proficiency with a popular BI application such as Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight, or anything comparable. - You have strong data modeling fundamentals and experience building scalable, reusable datasets. - You impress people with your spreadsheet skills. XLOOKUPs are second-nature for you, as are pivot tables. - Analytical Leadership: - You can independently scope and lead complex analytical projects from start to finish. - You have strong statistical intuition and comfort evaluating experiments. - You have experience mentoring junior analysts or setting best practices for analysis and reporting. - You have a strong commitment to data quality, rigor, and reproducibility. - Growth Mindset: - You are deeply curious and learn rapidly and eagerly. - You are comfortable in ambiguity and are able to bring structure where none exists. - You have high standards for accuracy, clarity, and impact. - You have a strong ownership mentality.
