Software Engineering Manager, Risk
Found
• Drive the technical vision and strategy for your team; to inform what we build and how we build it. You’ll work with partners and stakeholders across the company while doing this. • Hire, mentor, and grow the engineers on your team, from setting them up for success during onboarding to challenging them to grow throughout their careers with the company. • Contribute directly to the team’s work via code, technical decision making and architectural and operational improvements. • Promote an engaged, positive, and product-focused, engineering culture. • Partner with our risk operations and customer experience teams on risk rules, policies, operations and tooling. • Build & update processes in support of positive customer outcomes while scaling our operational load. • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and finance to build our development roadmap, headcount goals, and more.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- 6+ years of experience building production software systems that have substantial operational constraints or requirements.
- History of leading cross-functional projects and prioritizing work based on business impact.
- Previous startup experience and/or experience in hyper-growth environments.
- Experience with financial risk and fraud.
- Experience with bookkeeping or taxes and how it relates to self-employment.
- Experience with banking or payment infrastructure.
- Fluency in full-stack web development using some of the tools we use (e.g. React, Rails, MySQL, Cordova, Kubernetes, Spanner).
