Under Cloud One ACSS, the Leidos team delivers enterprise cloud architecture, core shared services, secure platform engineering, and foundational AWS capabilities that enable mission systems across the Department of the Air Force. The AWS Product Manager will define, manage, and evolve AWS-based architecture and common shared services supporting DoD Impact Levels (IL2–IL6). This role focuses on enterprise-scale cloud architecture, security, governance, cost optimization, and standardized shared capabilities that accelerate mission application deployment across the Cloud One ecosystem. You will work closely with Cloud Architects, cybersecurity engineers, DevSecOps engineers, other service providers and Air Force stakeholders to ensure AWS foundational services are secure, scalable, interoperable, and compliant with DoD cloud and Zero Trust mandates. Ideal candidates will have the ability to travel to the Tewksbury, MA area as needed. Primary Responsibilities: - Enterprise Product Strategy & Architecture Alignment - Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for AWS enterprise architecture and common shared services within Cloud One ACSS. - Align AWS capabilities with Department of the Air Force Cloud Strategy, Zero Trust Architecture, and DoD Enterprise Cloud initiatives. - Support standardized architectural patterns for multi-account AWS environments. - Ensure interoperability and functional requirements parity across CSP products, and hybrid environments within Cloud One. Common Shared Services Enablement: Support the development and lifecycle management of AWS shared services including: -Identity and Access Management (IAM). -Centralized logging and monitoring. -Key management and encryption services. -Container platforms (EKS). -Networking and connectivity architectures. - Establish reusable AWS reference architectures and service blueprints. - Drive service catalog standardization to enable mission teams to rapidly onboard. Cloud Security, Governance & Compliance: - Ensure AWS services comply with RMF, FedRAMP High, DoD SRG, and DISA STIG requirements. - Support architectural compliance for IL2–IL6 environments. - Integrate AWS-native security tooling such as Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, CloudTrail, and Config. - Support ATO strategy, continuous monitoring, and audit readiness. FinOps & Cost Governance: - Support cost governance models across multi-account AWS organizations. - Implement tagging strategies, cost allocation models, and optimization initiatives. - Partner with stakeholders to balance performance, scalability, and fiscal responsibility. - Leverage AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor to optimize enterprise spend. DevSecOps & Platform Engineering Integration: - Collaborate with platform engineering teams to enable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK. - Support hardened AWS landing zones and account vending automation. - Ensure shared services integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads. - Champion automation-first approaches across architecture deployments. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: - Serve as primary liaison between government leadership, architects, cybersecurity teams, and engineering organizations. - Translate enterprise mission requirements into prioritized AWS platform capabilities. - Conduct architecture reviews, executive briefings, and roadmap updates. - Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across ACSS service lines. Documentation & Enterprise Communication Develop architecture documentation including: -Reference architectures. -Standard operating procedures. -Implementation guides. -Service catalogs. - Maintain transparency on roadmap, risk posture, compliance status, and service maturity. - Publish best practices aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework and DoD Enterprise DevSecOps guidance. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, or enterprise IT or a Masters with 10+ years of applicable experience. - 5+ years of product management experience - Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred. - DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required prior to onboarding. - 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in enterprise or DoD environments. - Demonstrated experience managing enterprise cloud platforms or shared services. Strong understanding of: - AWS Organizations and multi-account strategy. - VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect. - IAM federation and cross-account access. - EKS/ECS container services. - Encryption and KMS. - Experience supporting RMF and IL4/IL5 ATO processes. - Experience working within Agile and DevSecOps frameworks. - Exceptional communication skills for executive and technical audiences. Required Certifications: - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional. - AWS Certified Security – Specialty. - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent. - SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Agile certification. - Preferred Certifications: - AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional. - AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty. - AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate. - ITIL v4. - PMP Certification. Preferred Experience: - Experience supporting Cloud One, Platform One, or DoD Enterprise Cloud environments. - Familiarity with AWS Landing Zone Accelerator or Control Tower. - Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures in cloud environments. - Experience with cross-domain solutions and classified cloud architectures. - Experience implementing enterprise observability solutions across AWS environments. - Desired Attributes: - Strategic thinker with enterprise-scale architecture mindset. - Strong collaborator across cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams. - Data-driven decision maker focused on platform maturity and measurable outcomes. - Comfortable operating in high-visibility DoD programs with executive-level oversight.
