• Lead the planning and execution of engineering excellence initiatives, including reliability & performance, developer experience, quality, and AI adoption. • Coordinate efforts to meet BTS 2026 reliability and performance targets, achieving 100% uptime and significantly reducing lower severity incidents. • Establish and track key outcome measures, including DORA metrics and engineering/product sentiment surveys. • Coordinate the implementation of "Ready for Production" standards across priority applications, ensuring full measurability, monitoring, and scaling capabilities. • Create and maintain clear communication artifacts for pillars, prioritized substreams, and outcomes to align product, design, and engineering teams.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Delivery Manager, or in a similar role within a fast-paced SaaS software development environment serving 5M+ users.
- Proven track record of guiding cross-functional teams through the delivery of complex software or reliability and performance platform projects.
- Strong knowledge of Agile practices, software development lifecycles, and DORA metrics.
- Proficiency in using JIRA Plans for cross-team project tracking, risk management, and reporting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in the K-12 education technology (EdTech) sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, SLOs, and observability tools like Datadog is a plus.
- Experience or strong interest in modern AI coding tools and driving their adoption within engineering teams is a plus.
- Advanced Certification: PMP, CSP, or other relevant project management certifications is a plus.
