Role Description We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support and strengthen our general ledger and financial reporting processes. This role will own key components of the month-end close, maintain the integrity of financial data, and help drive improvements in internal controls and accounting operations. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with FP&A, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide insight into financial results. This role will also play an important part in strengthening processes, supporting audits, and mentoring junior accounting team members. Key Responsibilities - Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. - Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and company policies. - Own designated balance sheet and P&L areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of issues. - Lead intercompany accounting processes, including eliminations and consolidation support across multiple entities. - Review balance sheet reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. - Analyze fluctuations in balance sheet and P&L accounts and provide explanations for significant variances. - Partner with FP&A and business leaders to explain monthly financial results and key performance drivers. - Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness to support accurate and compliant financial reporting. - Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and audit support materials. - Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules. - Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, system enhancements, and scalable workflows. - Mentor junior accounting staff and assist with improving close efficiency and team processes. - Assist with implementation and optimization of financial systems, reporting tools, and close. Occasional / Backup Responsibilities - Provide backup support for accounts payable processes when needed. - Assist with corporate card expense review and processing as part of broader finance operations coverage. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. - 4–7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably within a corporate accounting or public accounting environment. - Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. - Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions. - Proven experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and complex close processes. - Ability to analyze financial data and clearly communicate findings to cross-functional teams. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. - Experience working in high-growth or technology-driven environments is preferred. Systems & Technical Skills - NetSuite experience strongly preferred. - Experience with close management tools such as BlackLine or FloQast. - Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and INDEX-MATCH. - Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive) for financial analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. - Experience with expense management tools, close management platforms, and financial reporting systems.
