Role Description We are seeking an experienced and highly technical eDiscovery Processing Engineer to serve as a critical component of our Operations team. This hands-on role is responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of the data processing workflow, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and defensible transformation of large, complex data sets into review-ready formats. - Execute end-to-end processing of diverse data sources (email, chat, cloud exports, mobile images), including deduplication, metadata normalization, text extraction, and publishing to review platforms. - Troubleshoot complex file issues (encrypted, corrupted, proprietary formats) and perform rigorous QC checks to ensure data integrity and defensibility. - Prepare and publish processed data to hosting platforms (Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO), ensuring accurate field mapping, family relationships, and analytics readiness. - Partner with Project Managers, meet deadlines, and provide technical guidance on best practices. - Maintain detailed SOPs, audit logs, and processing notes to uphold chain-of-custody and defensibility standards. - Identify opportunities for process enhancements, evaluate new tools, and mentor junior team members on technical and operational best practices. Qualifications - 5+ years in eDiscovery data processing within an Operations or Managed Services environment. - Strong proficiency with one or more eDiscovery processing platforms (e.g., Nuix, Relativity Processing/RIP, FTK/Imager), including large-scale jobs (multi‑TB). - Strong scripting/automation skills preferred (Python and/or PowerShell); experience with CLI tools and batch processing. - Deep understanding of EDRM, chain of custody, metadata standards (e.g., parent/child relationships, time zones, hash values, MIME types), and defensibility requirements. - Hands-on experience processing common sources: Microsoft 365 (Exchange/Teams/SharePoint), Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom/Meet, Bloomberg/Refinitiv, mobile/forensic images (Cellebrite/GrayKey exports), and archives/containers (ZIP/RAR/7z). - Proficiency with OCR, exception handling, text extraction, and encoding challenges (e.g., Unicode, code pages, right‑to‑left languages). - Familiarity with hosting platforms (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO) and publication best practices. - Strong documentation skills; comfort with ticketing systems and change management. Requirements - The base Compensation range for this role will be $75,000 - $85,000 and will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications. - In addition to the base pay, this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus program. Job Requirements
