Job Description
Sr. Marketing Associate
Sana Benefits
Sana is a healthcare company offering health insurance plans to small to midsize businesses as well as virtual primary care and care navigation. And our vision is simple: make healthcare easy. We all know navigating healthcare in the U.S. is complicated, expensive, and frustrating — and our members are used to feeling that pain. That’s why we’ve reimagined how small and midsize businesses offer health benefits by providing affordable plans built around our "special sauce," Sana Care. Through Sana Care, members get unlimited access to dedicated primary care and expert care navigation at no additional cost to them. From a quick prescription refill to guidance through emergency neurosurgery, Sana Care supports our members through it all. From a marketing perspective, our business model relies on building strong partnerships as we sell our health plans exclusively through brokers. Because of this, we prioritize building intuitive tools and high-quality marketing materials that help both brokers and company administrators manage benefits with confidence. To support these efforts, we are looking for a Sr. Marketing Associate to serve as a key support pillar for our growth via broker distribution. In this role, you will help brokers understand why Sana is a unique industry disruptor while ensuring that once a company joins, their administrators and members have the high-quality onboarding materials they need to get the most out of their plans. Reporting to the VP of Product and Marketing, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Design, and Rev Ops to turn priorities into effective collateral and campaigns. If you thrive in variety, love turning complex jargon-filled concepts into clear language, and enjoy driving impact through high-quality execution, we’d love to meet you. What you will do: - Serve as Sana’s go-to marketing writer, with a strong point of view on voice, clarity, and effectiveness - Write persuasive, conversion-oriented copy and develop brand-forward storytelling content (e.g., broker-focused outreach, LinkedIn outreach, landing pages, emails, case studies, pitch decks, etc.) - Own the day-to-day execution of Sana’s social and digital presence, from ideation to delivery of engaging social content - Coordinate and support virtual and in-person events and webinars in partnership with Sales by owning email campaigns, collaborating on content, and supporting logistics - Stay curious and accountable by running tests to optimize campaigns and tracking and reporting on performance results - Drive cross-functional execution with a strong “ship it” mindset, serving as a key stakeholder who coordinates content and asset creation end-to-end across stakeholders, designers, Sales, and external partners - Partner marketing, healthcare, or compliance related marketing is a plus! About you: - 3-5 years of experience in marketing (product, content, or demand gen roles) - Excellent writing and editing skills—you can simplify complex ideas into clear, compelling copy - Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated—you like making checklists and checking things off - Strong collaborator who’s comfortable working with Sales, Product, and cross-functional teams - Curious about how things work and motivated to improve them - Mission-driven—you care about fixing healthcare and helping small businesses thrive Benefits: - Remote company with a fully distributed team – no return-to-office mandates - Flexible vacation policy (and a culture of using it) - Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% company paid employee coverage - 401(k) with company match, FSA, and HSA plans - Paid parental leave - Short and long term disability as well as life insurance - Competitive stock options offered to all employees - Transparent compensation & formal career development programs - Paid one-month sabbatical after 5 years - Stipends for setting up your home office and an ongoing learning budget - Direct positive impact on members’ lives – wait until you see the positive feedback members share every day $98,000 - $112,000 a year Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $98,000-112,000 per year for all US-based remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. About Sana Founded in 2017, Sana is a health plan solution built for small and midsize businesses — designed around our integrated primary care service, Sana Care. It’s the foundation of everything we build: ensuring members can easily access high-quality, affordable care while employers and brokers have the tools they need to manage company benefits with confidence. We’ve been remote-first since day one, with a fully distributed team across the U.S. We value curiosity, ownership, and speed — and we build in the open, together. If you’re energized by solving complex, meaningful problems and want to help reshape how healthcare works from the inside out, we’d love to meet you.
