Job Description Redesign is seeking a Senior Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation and delivery of enterprise data protection, backup, and disaster recovery solutions for our customers. This role is focused on post-sales deployment and technical implementation across complex infrastructure environments. You will work directly with customer IT teams to design, deploy, and optimize modern backup and data protection architectures across enterprise data centers and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with enterprise backup platforms, disaster recovery strategies, and storage infrastructure, along with the ability to work independently in fast-paced customer engagements. This is a customer-facing engineering role requiring strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into successful production implementations. Key Responsibilities - Implement and deploy enterprise backup, data protection, and disaster recovery solutions within customer environments. - Deliver end-to-end implementations including installation, configuration, migration, and optimization of backup and recovery platforms. - Collaborate with Solution Architects, Engineering, and Project Management teams to bring architected solutions into production. - Support customer data protection strategies including backup architecture, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery planning. - Troubleshoot and optimize existing backup environments across Redesign’s installed customer base. Assess customer environments and recommend improvements for data protection, resiliency, and operational efficiency. - Deliver technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff to customer IT teams. Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and capacity planning discussions. - Maintain awareness of evolving backup, storage, and data protection technologies and recommend improvements aligned to customer needs. - Partner with technology vendors and internal teams to deliver successful implementations across enterprise environments Required Experience - 7–12 years of experience within an MSP, VAR, enterprise IT, NOC, or service provider environment. - Strong hands-on experience implementing enterprise backup and data protection platforms. - Experience delivering customer-facing infrastructure implementations across complex data center environments. - Demonstrated experience designing or implementing disaster recovery and high availability architectures. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple technical engagements and travel-based implementations. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills within backup, storage, and virtualization environments. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and customer stakeholders Technical Experience Hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise data protection solutions such as: - Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, Dell Data Domain, Dell Avamar, Dell Networker - Integrated Data Protection Appliance (IDPA) - Veeam - Rubrik - Commvault - VMware vSphere - Microsoft Hyper-V - Nutanix - Hyper-converged infrastructure platforms such as VxRail Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package which may include: - Medical Insurance - Dental Insurance - Vision Insurance - 401(k) retirement plan with company match (annual dollar cap applied) - Flexible time off plan - 15 paid holidays - Sick leave (amount varies by state requirements and is at least the minimum required by any state) - Short-term and long-term disability - Life insurance - Paid parental leave We’re an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
