Role Description The Academic Advisor plays a critical role in supporting student success in Stepful’s fully-accredited, 15-month asynchronous RN-to-BSN program. This person serves as a consistent point of contact for students, helping them stay on track academically, navigate challenges, and successfully progress through a rigorous, online program with live touchpoints and in-person clinical components. This is a high-touch, student-facing role that combines academic advising, coaching, and real-time intervention. You’ll work closely with Stepful’s nursing instructors and broader team to help students from enrollment to graduation. This is a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contract position. What you’ll do - Serve as the primary advisor for a cohort of nursing students, from onboarding through graduation - Build strong relationships with students to drive engagement, retention, and program completion - Proactively identify at-risk students and intervene early to improve outcomes - Provide 1:1 coaching sessions to support study skills, time management, and clinical readiness - Help students understand program expectations, schedules, and clinical requirements - Work closely with instructors, clinical coordinators, and operations teams to ensure a seamless student experience - Support students in navigating Stepful’s LMS, virtual classroom tools, and other required technology platforms Qualifications - Professional experience as a Registered Nurse and active RN license - A bachelor’s in nursing (BSN) degree - Experience in teaching, academic advising, student support, or clinical education - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and motivate students - Strong communication skills and high attention to detail to ensure our students’ issues are resolved in the most efficient manner - Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week and the flexibility to offer evening and/or weekend support to students who are simultaneously working in the medical field Interview Process - Intro Call with Talent Team - Interview with the Program Coordinator - Case Study Assignment - Final Interview Compensation The hourly rate range for this opportunity is $25.00/hour - $30.00/hour. The opportunity: We are seeking a full-time Travel Clinical Educator, Surgical Services to support Stepful’s Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing programs across multiple locations around the United States. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on skills instruction, supporting student remediation, and ensuring strong clinical and certification outcomes. In addition to teaching, the Clinical Educator will serve as a key on-site representative of Stepful, partnering with our clinical sites to support client onboarding and program implementation between cohorts. This role requires regular travel and close collaboration with both internal teams and external partners between cohorts. Candidates with experience and active certification in both Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing are strongly preferred. This role reports into the Program Director, Surgical Services. What you’ll do: - Teach and facilitate skills labs and clinical instruction across assigned Stepful cohorts. - Demonstrate proper techniques, provide live step-by-step instruction, and supervise practice. - Assess student competency and provide feedback and remediation as needed. - Ensure students achieve mastery of skills before advancing to clinical rotations. - Coordinate with hospital preceptors to align experiences with program goals. - Document student progress and report clinical outcomes. - Represent Stepful on client and partner calls, supporting our solutions team with implementation. - Provide insights to enhance the student and partner experience. Role Description We are seeking an experienced and passionate Surgical Technology Instructor to teach Stepful’s virtual 16-week Surgical Technologist (didactic) program. The ideal candidate is excited to deliver high-quality online instruction and ensure students are well-prepared. Stepful’s programs are designed to support students at every step of the way, from getting certified by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) to finding high-quality healthcare jobs. This is a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contract role. What you’ll do - Teach highly-engaging, live, virtual classes over Zoom four times a week. - Classes are held Mon - Thurs, during morning or afternoon hours in EST timezone. - Communicate regularly with students over email and other communication tools. - Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and prepare and plan for future modules, as needed. - Deliver clear, engaging instruction aligned to Stepful’s standardized curriculum. - Support students in understanding Sterile Processing concepts across CRCST exam domains. - Assess student understanding through assignments, quizzes, and in-class participation. - Provide timely feedback and targeted remediation to students who are struggling academically or with confidence. - Document student progress, attendance, and performance in Stepful systems. - Collaborate with Stepful’s learning team to ensure alignment with program goals and student needs. - Offer insights to improve the student experience and curriculum delivery.
