Role Description The Senior Accountant supports a diverse portfolio of affordable residential properties and tax credit assets under rehab, working closely with the Senior Controller. This role is responsible for: - Financial reporting - Day-to-day and period-end accounting activities - General ledger analysis - Cash management and cash flow analysis - Preparation of financial items and annual year-end projections - Analysis of monthly and year-end budget variances The Senior Accountant partners with regional property management teams and senior leadership to produce accurate, high-quality monthly and quarterly reports used across the company for reporting, analysis, and planning. This position will also interface with independent auditors, internal stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines. This position is primarily remote and reports to the Senior Controller based in our New York office. Essential Job Functions: - Perform daily accounting activities, cash management, and review of accounts receivable and payable for assigned properties. - Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for various accounts. - Prepare and process job cost requisitions, capital calls, and advance requests. - Collaborate with the Controller and Asset Managers on monthly cash flow forecasting. - Book journal entries and perform general ledger analysis, as needed. - Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closings and prepare supporting work papers for balance sheet and income statement accounts. - Assist with preparation of quarterly and year-end tax, cash, and GAAP reporting. - Create reporting templates and develop analysis using applications such as Excel or JD Edwards accounting software. - Assist with special projects, as needed. Responsibilities Related Affordable seeks a Human Resources Generalist who will support site-based employees throughout the Mid-Western United States. The Generalist will be the first point of contact for employee relations matters and performance management for approximately 200-300 property management employees including our support teams. In addition, you’ll ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. In this role, you’ll operate as a critical part of our business, helping develop and retain our greatest asset – our people. The Generalist will work in concert with the business and rest of the Human Resources team to execute and advance Related Affordable’s people strategy, supporting the company’s business priorities, while reducing employee turnover and improving productivity. Responsibilities Related Affordable has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Regulatory Compliance within our Mountain portfolio. This position will work remote and must be located in CO, TX, ID, UT, or AZ reporting to the Senior Director of Compliance. This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also supervising staff located in other areas of the country.
