Role Description The Associate People Operations Generalist supports the day-to-day execution of People Operations with a focus on HR systems, employee data, onboarding and employee lifecycle operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and enjoys improving processes through better workflows, reporting, and automation. - Lead all aspects of preboarding and onboarding to ensure a positive, efficient new hire experience, including adding new hires to systems, coordinating new hire stipends, and supporting readiness tasks across teams. - Own operational onboarding workflows and ticketing (e.g., Jira tickets for new hires, onboarding tasks, and LOAs). - Support new hire orientations and complete I-9 verifications in alignment with compliance requirements. - Coordinate and calculate severance details, ensuring calculations align with internal policy and partnering with Payroll on state payment requirements. - Manage the accurate entry, maintenance, and auditing of employee records including hires, promotions, internal mobility, terminations, and other lifecycle changes. - Maintain personnel folders and ensure compliant documentation practices (including I-9s and work authorization/visa documentation where applicable). - Ensure files are organized, complete, and retained appropriately in the designated storage system (e.g., drive/personnel folders). - Serve as a key administrator for the People team tech stack (including Paylocity, Lattice, Nectar, Asana), helping keep systems accurate, reliable, and user-friendly. - Maintain HRIS configurations and support workflow improvements, troubleshooting, and end-user guidance for employees and managers. - Manage LOA system updates in Paylocity, including updating LOA status and reason codes, and submitting corresponding LOA Jira tickets. - Support Lattice program setup and administration, including: Engagement survey, OLA, Emerge, 4box etc. - Support with benefits administration tasks such as approving benefit elections, providing headcount number and support in reconciling benefit invoices. - Produce and maintain ad hoc employee reporting to support compliance, business needs, and workforce planning. - Analyze onboarding feedback and employee experience data to identify trends and recommend process improvement. - Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support compliance, business needs, and workforce planning. - Coordinate focus group sessions based on engagement survey feedback, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to the business. - Manage People inbox and triage requests as needed. Role Description The Financial Crimes Unit Specialist plays a critical supporting role in Onbe’s Risk & Compliance department by assisting in the detection and prevention of financial crimes, including money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud. The Specialist will support the implementation and execution of Onbe’s transaction monitoring program by: - Reviewing alerts and identifying unusual or suspicious activity. - Escalating cases as appropriate. - Executing more complex investigations and identifying emerging patterns. - Contributing to refining detection logic and risk strategy. This position requires a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic Risk & Compliance function. Responsibilities include: - Reviewing transactional alerts and assessing for potential suspicious activity in accordance with Onbe’s policies and procedures. - Conducting detailed investigations using internal systems, third-party tools, and open-source data to determine the legitimacy of flagged transactions. - Documenting findings clearly and accurately, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with regulatory expectations. - Escalating cases involving potential suspicious activity to senior team members or Compliance Officers with relevant context and supporting evidence. - Supporting the drafting of Unusual Activity Reports (“UAR”) and/or Suspicious Activity Reports (“SAR”) under the direction of more senior staff. - Assisting in maintaining accurate records and case management logs for audit readiness. - Staying up to date on emerging trends in financial crime and evolving typologies through team training sessions and independent research. - Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders as needed to gather information and resolve case-related questions. - Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to process improvement discussions. - Providing feedback on alert logic and rules to help improve typology effectiveness. - Mentoring and supporting team training initiatives. - Other duties as assigned.
