• Installation and repair of finished product on customer jobsites • Wear appropriate PPE in required areas
Role Description Application Engineer II needed by National Oilwell Varco, L.P. in Houston, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may telecommute] to provide technical and applications engineering support for operations, sales and engineering. - Participate and contribute to design reviews of new and updated products proposed by Engineering. - Prepare product bulletins and product data sheets. - Provide technical support to supply chain by verifying accuracy of orders. - Develop technical proposals, well schematics, and running procedures. - Write and present papers for professional engineering associations. - Support field operations including but not limited to completions and well construction, open hole and cemented frac completions, toe valve, and frac operations. - Utilize knowledge in oilfield math calculations including volumes, pressures, forces, and advanced hydraulics. - Maintain controlled copies of relevant applications and sales templates and documents. - Run customer related NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and related processes. - Up to 20% domestic travel required. Qualifications - Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Petroleum Engineering. - Requires experience, course work and/or project experience ensuring appropriate tool selection using various software. - Utilizing MSACCESS to convert and structure data. - Utilizing Trend Analyzer for analytical exploration of time-series data. - Providing application and engineering support by collaborating with cross-functional teams from job planning and execution to technical implementation, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. - Performing all well calculations and utilizing design software related to equipment being installed. - Up to 20% domestic travel required.
Role Description Support commissioning, operation, upgrades, and continuous improvement of automated spiral-welding equipment used in the production of large steel wind-tower structures. - Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and system-level issues affecting equipment performance, safety, and product quality. - Perform mechanical design of large machine components, welded/structural assemblies, automated mechanisms, tooling, and test fixtures. - Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for complex mechanical assemblies and production tooling using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software). - Apply mechanical engineering principles to model and analyze loads, motion, tolerances, and potential failure modes to inform design decisions. - Develop test procedures and support execution of validation activities to confirm design performance and equipment reliability in a steel-fabrication/manufacturing environment. - Document design decisions, test results, and engineering changes using standard engineering documentation and change-control practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including manufacturing, welding, product/tower design, and controls engineering to ensure equipment functionality meets manufacturing requirements and customer specifications. - Provide engineering support to production areas by troubleshooting mechanical issues on tower-manufacturing equipment and implementing engineered corrective actions to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant fabrication processes. - Apply experience in Mechanical design of machine components and assemblies in a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Create 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software. - Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals including statics, dynamics, materials, and tolerances to support design decisions. - Support manufacturing/production operations through mechanical troubleshooting and implementation of engineered solutions. - Develop or execute design validation activities including test fixtures, test procedures, documenting results, and documenting engineering changes. Requirements - Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent. - 3 years of relevant experience.

• Develop, implement, and optimize process control strategies for oil and gas production and processing facilities • Prepare and maintain process control documentation, including control narratives, Cause & Effect charts, and P&IDs • Act as a checker for SCDs and logic diagrams produced by others • Support facility startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities • Support process safety initiatives, including alarm management, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and HAZOP recommendations • Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies • Support continuous improvement initiatives • Collaborate with suppliers and clients on the development of documentation to ensure robust process control systems are in place • Act as a link between the Process Engineering team and the Instrumentation team
• Perform field installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ESP systems. • Ensure job quality through adherence to procedures and safety standards. • Accurately complete field service documentation and job reports. • Communicate effectively with field leadership and customers. • Maintain all company-issued equipment and tools. • Follow all NOV HSE and operational policies. • Coordinate activities on-site with supervisors and engineers. • Report job site incidents, near misses, and abnormal conditions. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in safety meetings.
