Role Description We are seeking a skilled, experienced Technical Director to join our Operations and Maintenance Services team supporting a diverse array of treatment facilities across the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment, with a proven track record of providing operational and regulatory compliance expertise to drinking water treatment facilities. This role is critical to helping to ensure the stability, efficiency, and compliance of water treatment systems under our care. The position is location independent with an average expectation of 50% travel (typically 8-10 nights/month). Ideal location is Central or Mountain time zones. Role Description The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for the generation of proposals, statement of qualifications, and presentations across multiple business units, including Operations & Maintenance, Engineering and our SCADA/Automation & Intelligence team. Role Description We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer - Maintenance and Water/Wastewater SME to support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams within water and wastewater utilities across the Southeastern United States. This role is ideal for an experienced operator or maintenance professional who would enjoy being responsible for delivering hands-on, technical training to field, plant, and supervisory personnel working in water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate brings a background in water and wastewater operations and maintenance, excellent instructional skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, real-world applications for diverse audiences. Training will be delivered primarily through hands-on, on-site engagement, job shadowing, demonstrations, and real work problem solving, supplemented by classroom and virtual sessions as needed. This position has the possibility to be remote with up to 80% travel and candidates must live in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, or Tennessee to be considered. Responsibilities - Deliver in-person and virtual technical training to water and wastewater utility staff, including operators, maintenance technicians, supervisors, and managers. - Train teams on O&M best practices related to treatment processes, distribution and collection systems, equipment, instrumentation, controls, and safety. - Develop, customize, and update training materials (presentations, manuals, job aids, SOPs) aligned with regulatory requirements and operational goals. - Support onboarding and upskilling of water operations and maintenance personnel, including certification and continuing education preparation. - Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and recommend training solutions. - Collaborate with utility leaders, engineering teams, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure training relevance and accuracy. - Ensure training aligns with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including EPA, state primacy agencies, OSHA). - Track training participation, effectiveness, and outcomes; provide reports and recommendations for improvement. - Serve as a trusted technical resource for O&M teams across utility sites in multiple states. Role Description Inframark is looking for a Vice-President of Business Development. This incumbent will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop additional business from existing contract scope expansions and new business pursuits. The VP of Business Development will also work closely with our operations staff to ensure contract renewal success. - Develop a targeted market plan, which should include strategies for competitive takeaways and development of municipalities/industries who have never outsourced before. - Create detailed maps of the decision-making process and all decision maker/influencers for all targets. - Position Inframark as the best partner for the potential client. - Convert the target to a client through client mandated process (RFP, RFQ, Open Bid). - Work with existing operations staff to support expanded scope and renewal efforts. You'll stabilize and modernize the infrastructure supporting WaterMinds, our cloud-based platform for water and wastewater utilities—implementing proper monitoring and alerting, upgrading production environments, establishing operational discipline, and enabling our engineering teams to ship with confidence. You'll follow DevOps best practices, proactively identify and solve problems, and drive infrastructure improvements with minimal direction. The challenge: build and maintain infrastructure that can reliably serve hundreds of utility customers at scale. Your immediate focus is moving our infrastructure from reactive firefighting to proactive maintenance mode. As the platform matures and our data science team ramps up, you'll have the opportunity to transition into MLOps, building the infrastructure that enables machine learning at scale. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of production monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch—proactively identify issues before they become incidents. Modernize production EKS cluster with GitOps practices (ArgoCD), comprehensive monitoring, and proper deployment workflows following industry best practices. Streamline staging deployment process; eliminate branch-based workarounds and establish clean GitOps patterns. Expand into MLOps—building the infrastructure that enables data scientists to deploy models at scale across multiple utility customers once DevOps operations are automated. Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) including pod migrations, resource optimization, troubleshooting, and security updates—proactively, not reactively. Maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible following best practices—all changes tested in non-production before deployment. Support engineering teams with infrastructure needs, unblock them quickly, and establish self-service patterns where possible—anticipate needs, don't wait for requests. Manage message queue infrastructure (Kafka/Redpanda) including retention policies, storage optimization, and performance tuning. Document infrastructure, create runbooks, and automate operational tasks to move systems into maintenance mode. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering. Role Description We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams within water and wastewater utilities across the Southeastern United States. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on, technical training to field, plant, and supervisory personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of water utility systems. The ideal candidate brings a background in water and wastewater operations and maintenance, excellent instructional skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, real-world applications for diverse audiences. This position has the possibility to be remote with up to 80% travel and candidates must live in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana or Tennessee to be considered. Responsibilities - Deliver in-person and virtual technical training to water and wastewater utility staff, including operators, maintenance technicians, supervisors, and managers. - Train teams on O&M best practices related to treatment processes, distribution and collection systems, equipment, instrumentation, controls, and safety. - Develop, customize, and update training materials (presentations, manuals, job aids, SOPs) aligned with regulatory requirements and operational goals. - Support onboarding and upskilling of water operations and maintenance personnel, including certification and continuing education preparation. - Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and recommend training solutions. - Collaborate with utility leaders, engineering teams, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure training relevance and accuracy. - Ensure training aligns with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including EPA, state primacy agencies, OSHA). - Track training participation, effectiveness, and outcomes; provide reports and recommendations for improvement. - Serve as a trusted technical resource for O&M teams across utility sites in multiple states. Qualifications - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Water/Wastewater Operations, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) preferred; relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree. - 5+ years of experience in water or wastewater utility operations and maintenance, Water/Wastewater Operator License preferred. - Hands-on knowledge of treatment processes, distribution/collection systems, pumps, electrical/mechanical systems, SCADA, and maintenance practices. - Familiarity with utility asset management, CMMS, or reliability-centered maintenance. - Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or technical SME; experience training adult learners or leading operational workshops, job shadowing, or field instruction preferred. - Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting water utilities. - Valid driver’s license; up to 80% overnight travel required. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. You'll stabilize and modernize the infrastructure supporting WaterMinds, our cloud-based platform for water and wastewater utilities—implementing proper monitoring and alerting, upgrading production environments, establishing operational discipline, and enabling our engineering teams to ship with confidence. You'll follow DevOps best practices, proactively identify and solve problems, and drive infrastructure improvements with minimal direction. The challenge: build and maintain infrastructure that can reliably serve hundreds of utility customers at scale. Your immediate focus is moving our infrastructure from reactive firefighting to proactive maintenance mode. As the platform matures and our data science team ramps up, you'll have the opportunity to transition into MLOps, building the infrastructure that enables machine learning at scale. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of production monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch—proactively identify issues before they become incidents. Modernize production EKS cluster with GitOps practices (ArgoCD), comprehensive monitoring, and proper deployment workflows following industry best practices. Streamline staging deployment process; eliminate branch-based workarounds and establish clean GitOps patterns. Design infrastructure patterns that scale to hundreds of customers and own AWS infrastructure operations including patching, maintenance, cost optimization, and security compliance—stay ahead of requirements. Expand into MLOps—building the infrastructure that enables data scientists to deploy models at scale across multiple utility customers once DevOps operations are automated. Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) including pod migrations, resource optimization, troubleshooting, and security updates—proactively, not reactively. Maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible following best practices—all changes tested in non-production before deployment. Support engineering teams with infrastructure needs, unblock them quickly, and establish self-service patterns where possible—anticipate needs, don't wait for requests. Manage message queue infrastructure (Kafka/Redpanda) including retention policies, storage optimization, and performance tuning. Document infrastructure, create runbooks, and automate operational tasks to move systems into maintenance mode. Clean up technical debt—proactively identify infrastructure to decommission, resources to consolidate, and costs to optimize. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering. Demonstrated ability to take ownership and initiative—you see what needs to be done and do it without waiting for direction. Deep knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure best practices—you know what good looks like and implement it proactively. Strong Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred) including cluster management, deployments, services, and troubleshooting. Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, S3).
