• Position and sell Harmonic’s broadband products, solutions and services • Work with the customer to develop and document end-to-end network solutions aligned with their business requirements and industry best practices. • Understand customer requirements and collaborate with the product and engineering team to address issues and deliver feature requirements. • Work with customers to integrate Harmonic’s Cloud Native solution in their existing network and support them to migrate to a next generation DAA network. • Collaborate with and provide customers and prospects technical, experience-based leadership to design and architect solutions to meet their needs • Deliver technical sales-oriented presentations to technical staff at customers and prospects • Work with Harmonic partners to train and understand technical key advantages of Harmonic’s Cloud Native solution • Position Harmonic as the industry thought leader. • Work closely with Sales, and Product leaders to ensure that coverage and activity matches the business need. • Assist with technical responses for RFx’s. • Use of Harmonic’s standardized applications (e.g. SalesForce, JIRA, Confluence) to optimize the execution of the position deliverables.
• Act as the primary interface between the Harmonic teams and our main Contract Manufacturers in Asia • Drive CM performance across: • On-time delivery (OTD) • NPI execution • Build readiness • Inventory health (E&O , Safety stock, Complete Sets) • Ensure CM alignment with production plans, forecasts, and customer commitments. • Lead regular operational reviews (WBR/QBR) with CM teams • Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation plans to ensure production continuity. • As needed help engaging with critical suppliers supporting CM operations • Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and ramp plans. • Help to drive supplier performance across: Delivery, Lead time, Capacity, Cost • Escalation management for shortages and supply constraints • Align supply commitments with demand fluctuations and market conditions. • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from development to mass production. • ECN’s and DA implementation. • Support Material planning and readiness for prototype builds and production ramp. • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to resolve issues quickly. • Drive material planning strategies (MRP, JIT, Kanban where applicable) • Optimize: • Inventory levels • Excess & obsolete (E&O) • Improve lead times and supply chain responsiveness. • Support cost reduction initiatives across suppliers and CM. • Work closely with: Engineering, OPS Eng, Procurement /SCM and Quality. • Support cross-functional problem solving for complex supply chain and technical issues. • Provide clear communication and reporting to management. • Support SCM initiatives to Improve supply chain processes, visibility and reporting to enhance responsiveness and execution

Learn more at www.harmonicinc.com. Role Description We are looking for a Network Design and Integration Engineer. You will report to Director, Broadband System Integration. You will be required to work on key customer account(s) in Japan. Location This position is 50 to 60% remote from anywhere within Japan, while up to 50% travel with main focus in Japan. What you will be doing: - Support activities for cOSTM client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials. - Design IP networking ecosystem with Harmonic cOSTM platform to support Customer Use Cases. - Implement cOSTM ecosystem design provided by Design Engineer of System Integration team. - Communicate with marketing, engineering, and sales teams about client expectations. - Responsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering. - Execute, and lead client field trials. - Train clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the cOSTM system. - Train field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of cOSTM system and any new features that are supported. - Assist with deployments and technical support as needed. - Assist with supporting customers in conjunction with Harmonic’s 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required. - Investigate, diagnose and resolve Customer issues on-site in a timely manner and if needed escalate problems for assistance. - Resolving equipment performance related issues within Harmonic equipment and in conjunction with Harmonic application partners, utilizing Harmonic’s technical issue logging/escalation systems as appropriate. - Develop detailed customer installation and system integration plans, ensuring seamless implementation of solutions. - Act as a key technical liaison on customer projects, ensuring that technical requirements are met and expectations are aligned. What you should have: - Bachelor’s in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent; - 4+ years direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting. - Strong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack is a “must”. - Experience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers is a “must”. - Ability to understand technical documentation including Software/Hardware Configuration Guides, schematics, work instructions, test procedures, etc. - Problem solving, analytical and communications skills. - Knowledge of DOCSIS, CMTS configuration and troubleshooting is a “must”. - Knowledge of FTTX is a plus. - Experience in pre-sales type technical support, including product demonstrations and feasibility analysis, is highly preferred. - Ability to develop and present technical solutions to customers and internal teams. - Fluency in Japanese is a must, along with the ability to work in a business English environment (strong written English is expected). Ability to translate communication emails/documents between Japanese and English. Travel You are required to travel up to 50% to customers sites (with main focus in Japan) and Corporate Office for training. • Ensure daily RMA backlog order fulfilment in accordance with the Customer’s Service Level Agreements • Coordinate the repair processes with internal facility and different vendors/partners • Assist in managing stock replenishment in the Global Service depot network • Manage timely defective unit returns from customers to factories/service depots • Monthly inventory reconciliation and quarterly reporting • Perform analysis for cost, last time buys, claims, and inventory reconciliation • Initiate and manage work orders to completion • Interface with Technical Support, Operations, Finance, Product Management, and Sales
