Director, Content Marketing
Gong.ioGong.io is on a mission to help revenue and sales teams realize their full potential by unveiling customer reality through its patented, AI-powered revenue inte
Role Description Gong is looking for a Director of Content Marketing who is, first and foremost, an exceptional writer — someone who brings a distinct voice, rigorous craft, and genuine conviction to everything Gong publishes. This is a builder's role. You'll write, edit, and set the standard for what great looks like — then partner with your team to reach it and amplify it consistently. You'll own the full content engine across the customer journey: - Thought leadership - Customer stories - Gong Labs research - Digital content - Narrative frameworks that connect all of it to how buyers actually think and decide We're looking for someone who thinks like a media builder, not a content scheduler. You care deeply about substance over surface — and you believe content done right is a genuine competitive differentiator, not a supporting function. You bring strong editorial judgment, a thoughtful perspective on where AI fits in a content operation, and a constant eye on where the best content in the industry is being made and why. The person in this role gets to turn those ingredients into a content engine that entertains, informs, and shapes how the market thinks. You'll have editorial independence and real cross-functional influence to do it right. If you obsess over craft, have strong opinions about what makes content worth reading, and want to build something that matters — this is the opportunity! Responsibilities - Voice & Writing Excellence - Be Gong's best writer. Set and protect a distinct, data-backed, opinionated brand voice across all channels. - Write highly effective content, including flagship thought leadership, editorial positions, key campaign narratives, and raise the quality floor across every content format. - Serve as editor-in-chief: give in-the-trenches editorial feedback that makes your team meaningfully better, not just compliant. - Narrative & Thought Leadership - Own the Gong narrative. Translate complex concepts such as Agentic AI, Revenue Graphs, and Agent / Human Orchestration into clear, provocative stories that resonate with revenue leaders. - Lead thought leadership strategy across blog, social, video, and earned media, ensuring Gong has a credible and consistent POV in its category. - Champion customer storytelling: develop a systematic approach to capturing and amplifying customer outcomes that feel real and impactful. - Gong Labs & Original Research - Partner with data science to evolve Gong Labs into the industry's most trusted source of revenue insights — content backed by real pipeline and call data that no competitor can replicate. - Commission and shape original research reports, data studies, and benchmarks that generate earned media, backlinks, and brand authority. - Content Strategy & Demand Impact - Build content frameworks mapped to the full customer journey—from awareness through expansion—that demonstrably improve conversion and shorten sales cycles. - Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, and Sales to ensure content operates as a revenue lever across the full go-to-market motion. - Own strategic KPIs: measure KPIs such as brand share of voice, organic traffic, and pipeline influence, and use the data to finetune and improve content impact accordingly. - Team Leadership & Editorial Operations - Lead and grow a team of content marketers, providing hands-on editorial mentorship and career development. - Build and manage a bench of world-class freelancers and agency partners who can flex with demand without diluting brand quality. - Architect a scalable content engine: content guidelines, editorial calendars, content briefs, quality rubrics, and distribution workflows that sustain high velocity without sacrificing integrity. Qualifications - 10+ years of content leadership at a high-growth B2B company or in high-tier business journalism with a portfolio that demonstrates genuine craft. - Proven ability to lead and develop a team of in-house and freelance creatives at high velocity. - Exceptional writing and editing skills. You are the kind of person who will rework a headline five times because the first version was not quite right. - Deep product empathy. You can spend an afternoon in a product demo, talk to three customers, and come out with a sharp, credible editorial angle that engineers and buyers both recognize as true. - Strong grasp of B2B buyer journeys and content's role in demand generation—you've built frameworks that connect editorial to pipeline, and you can prove it. - AI fluency: You understand how LLMs and AI agents are reshaping both how work gets done and how content gets discovered and consumed. - Your portfolio and experience demonstrates writing that prioritizes density, utility, and a clear point of view over generic industry language or buzzwords. - Strategic KPI ownership: You've mapped content programs directly to business outcomes and can speak fluently about attribution, share of voice, and pipeline influence. Benefits - We offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs. - Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle. - Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching. - 401(k) program to help you invest in your future. - Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development. - Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend. - Paid parental leave to support you and your family. - Company-wide recharge days each quarter. - Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.
Senior Email Marketing Manager
Gong.ioGong.io is on a mission to help revenue and sales teams realize their full potential by unveiling customer reality through its patented, AI-powered revenue inte
Role Description As our Sr. Email Marketing Manager, you will own how Gong shows up in the inbox — across both marketing nurture programs and 1:1 marketing-supported outbound. This is a craft role for someone who treats email as a conversion channel, not a delivery task, and who is equally fluent in brand-led nurture, lifecycle messaging, and the kind of sharp, sales-style emails that get replies. You think in audiences and angles, you use data to drive messaging relevance, and you use AI to explore options and accelerate iteration without sacrificing voice or judgment. You work alongside a technical GTM Automation & Systems counterpart who owns the underlying infrastructure, audiences, and automation logic, and together you build the most engaging, highest-converting email engine Gong has run yet. Responsibilities - Own Gong's email across the full lifecycle from 1:many brand and nurture programs to 1:few segment campaigns to 1:1 sales-style outreach that drives MQL conversion, ensuring every send has a clear audience, purpose, and next action. - Write, edit, and continuously optimize email copy that drives engagement and conversion: nurture flows, lifecycle programs, behavioral triggers, event follow-ups, MQL re-engagement, closed-lost reactivation, and high-intent sales sequences. - Support the automated sales MQL follow up and signal-led motions in partnership with Pipeline Ops and Sales leadership, building Gong Engage flows, reply-driving templates, and personalization frameworks that feel human, relevant, and worth responding to. - Develop and maintain a library of email frameworks, voice and tone guidelines, subject line patterns, and reusable messaging components that scale across programs without flattening into generic SaaS-speak. - Build and run a structured testing program, subject lines, send times, angles, CTAs, length, format, personalization depth, and turn results into documented best practices the broader team can apply. - Partner closely with the Senior GTM Automation & Systems Manager to translate audience strategy and segmentation into messaging that matches the moment, the signal, and the buyer's stage. - Own email engagement quality and deliverability from a content perspective: sender reputation, engagement rates, list health signals, spam triggers, and brand consistency across every send. - Use AI tools as a core part of your craft, to generate variants, pressure-test angles, accelerate first drafts, and explore creative directions. - Collaborate with Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing to ensure email programs reflect current GTM priorities, campaigns, and segment narratives. - Establish QA standards, copy review processes, and editorial governance so every email that goes out, whether from Marketing or through Engage, meets a consistent quality bar. Qualifications - 5+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a closely related role in B2B SaaS or enterprise software, with demonstrated ownership of both marketing nurture programs and sales-style 1:1 email motions. - Deep understanding of the difference between marketing email and sales emails as channels. - Hands-on experience writing and optimizing email programs inside Marketo and sales engagement platforms like Gong Engage, Outreach, or Salesloft. - Proven track record running structured email experimentation programs (A/B and multivariate testing), with the analytical rigor to separate signal from noise and turn results into repeatable patterns. - Strong working knowledge of email deliverability fundamentals, including engagement-based reputation, list hygiene, suppression strategy, CAN-SPAM and GDPR. - Working understanding of GTM strategy fundamentals, including ICP, personas, buying stages, and signals. - Background working in environments where marketing email and SDR outreach are tightly coordinated (e.g., Marketo + Gong + Salesloft/Outreach + Salesforce); experience writing for or partnering with sales teams is preferred. - Strong editorial instincts paired with strong data instincts; you obsess over the narrative, a single subject line, and the conversion rate of a 12-step nurture with equal energy. - Collaborative systems thinker who can partner closely with a technical automation counterpart, translate strategy into messaging, and document craft so others can apply it.

Role Description We are looking for a Principal PMM to own the narrative, strategy, and GTM for the fastest-moving surface in our platform – the agentic execution layer that turns everything Gong knows about a revenue organization into action. This is where the vision for the Gong Revenue AI OS becomes real for the market. This is not a role for someone who wants to market features. This is a category-defining role for a technical buyer audience. You will shape how enterprise IT and revenue operations leaders think about agentic AI for revenue: - What governed execution actually looks like - How organizations move from agent sprawl to a coordinated operating model - Why the data foundation underneath agents is what determines whether they deliver compounding value or plateau You will partner closely with Product, GTM, and executive leadership to turn a genuinely new architectural concept into a narrative that earns trust with buyers who evaluate infrastructure, not just software.
