Technical Sales Manager

• Securing product specifications with architects, landscape architects and consultants • Developing and managing a robust project pipeline across your region • Delivering technical CPDs to drive engagement and product adoption • Working closely with contractors to ensure specifications convert to orders • Promoting a multi-product solution including green roofs, blue roofs and living walls • Identifying and influencing opportunities at early design / RIBA stages • Maintaining accurate pipeline and project tracking data
• Deliver the Alpha Scientific commercial testing sales revenue budget through targeted client acquisition and account growth, unlocking new market opportunities and driving expansions across key sectors. • Establish effective and long-term partnerships with Water Treatment companies, Commissioning firms, Healthcare organisations, Councils and other key players in the Water Hygiene Market. • Identify new customer, market and service opportunities, working with the Marketing team to develop and execute. • Developing the sales strategy and implementing tactical sales plans aligned to business objectives. • Lead on major bids, tenders, and commercial negotiations. • Drive continuous improvement in our pricing structure and tools, in collaborations with the Finance Director. • Educate the market on the value of Alpha’s solutions to develop the overall category and cross-selling of Genuit products. • Build and develop relationships with key industry figures to raise the profile of Alpha Scientific through the Water Treatment and Water Hygiene industries. • Advocate for evolving UK regulations, guidance and industry best practices. • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Managers to drive demand generation. • Meets sales and financial objectives forecasting requirements; performance tracking against KPIs, preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective action. • Champion the voice of the customer, ensuring Alpha’s services evolve with market needs. • Partner with the laboratories and business leaders to develop the service offering to continually drive up service delivery. • Help diversify the division’s current analytical offering by highlighting areas of client demand including development of the drop-off and collection network as required. • Maintains and expands customer base by coaching team; maintaining and growing relationships with key customers; identifying new opportunities. • Work closely with the laboratories to ensure a seamless transition of accounts into the Alpha Scientific business. • Represent and promote the Alpha brand, culture and uphold the company’s trademark behaviours. • Achieve the required targeted Sales Growth and profitability target as set by the business. • Delivering presentations professionally, confidently and effectively to new and prospective customers promoting Alpha’s services and brand values. • Time management - Organise appointments in advance to maximise productivity and to make full use of your time. • Ensure effective CRM usage, reporting, and pipeline management. • Attend events, evening and weekend work will be required. • Be an active member of the Alpha Management Team; attend all required Sales/Management Meetings. • Complete required reporting to the business, promptly and with the required detail. • Ensure all team members are following company procedures.
Business Development Manager

• Achieving the required Area Sales Growth Target as per the agreed UK Residential budget • Devising and implementing a robust Sales Plan for the Social Housing, Regional New Build and Large Private ‘one-off’ installer markets – derived from the over-arching strategy, distilled for the local customer base • Winning the required level of incremental Filter/ Chemical Specifications whilst maintaining business profitability • Work closely with key OEM & Commercial partners to achieve mutual goals • Expert technical knowledge of all ADEY products and services • Ensure compliance of National New Build Specification through nominated contractor base, providing relevant feedback and intel to the National Sales Manager • Deliver mutually agreed product & campaign awareness events at strategic merchant locations in-line with the Sales & Marketing plan • Promote social media engagement across own network • Contributing fully towards the sales team through reporting across business platforms • Delivering presentations professionally, confidently, and effectively to new and prospective customers promoting ADEY’s products, services, and Brand Values • Support and inform the business to evolve customer segmentation, ensuring optimised deployment of time, budget, and resources • Record all meeting Objectives/ Outcomes and keep all Customer details up to date via CRM making full use of the system by maximizing its capability (pipeline management, reporting, diary management) • Provide robust return on investment rationale to qualify corporate hospitality expenditure (grow, defend, retain) • Lead & support regional & national events/exhibitions where applicable (some evening/ weekend work may be required) • Developing relationships with key Merchant contacts in relation to customer base across the key addressable markets • Complete required reporting to the business, promptly and with the required detail; as well as full utilisation of existing and upcoming BI systems, data, and insights to fuel compelling customer propositions and objective setting • Time management - Organise appointments in advance to maximise productivity and to make full use of your time • Be well prepared, presented and prompt for all appointments • To manage the Areas ‘Corporate Hospitality’ budget effectively and in line with the Company’s expenses policy, to maximise sales opportunities • Attend all required Sales Meetings and digital meetings
