• Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with EPI’s strategic objectives for Merchant Enablement and POS solutions • Own and manage the strategic roadmap for POS initiatives, including features, enhancements, and long-term platform evolution • Prioritize product features and initiatives based on user needs, market opportunities, ROI, and business impact • Drive data-informed product decisions through market research, competitor analysis, customer feedback, and product performance insights • Continuously report and align with the Head of Product regarding roadmap progress, priorities, and delivery status • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable product development plans • Balance technical constraints and business priorities to ensure alignment between engineering feasibility and product vision • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support teams to ensure successful product adoption and merchant experience • Collaborate with EPI Member Banks to align on strategic priorities and future POS development opportunities • Represent EPI and advocate for POS initiatives with internal and external stakeholders across the payments ecosystem • Contribute to building scalable, seamless, and innovative payment experiences for merchants and consumers across Europe
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 6 infrastructure engineers • Drive infrastructure scalability, resilience, and operational excellence initiatives • Maintain a strong hands-on technical involvement in architecture, debugging, automation, and incident management • Own and manage the team’s on-call rotations and incident response processes • Define and monitor operational KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs for infrastructure reliability and performance • Build and optimize financial governance around infrastructure and cloud costs • Drive initiatives toward zero-downtime deployments and highly available distributed systems • Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to support platform scalability and performance requirements • Lead post-mortems and root cause analyses to continuously improve platform reliability • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement • Contribute to long-term infrastructure and platform strategy
• Drive the adoption of Wero among Dutch merchants • Influence the development of new acceptance verticals • Act as the primary point of contact for merchants through onboarding and activation • Ensure merchants follow the required onboarding steps • Act as the operational liaison between merchants, acquirers and EPI teams • Guide merchants through Wero implementation • Participate in key industry events, associations and forums to increase awareness and adoption • Monitor market dynamics and competitive offerings • Translate merchant feedback into actionable insights for internal teams • Maintain an updated pipeline and activity tracking
• Own budget planning and tracking across Product, Engineering, and Design • Act as the main point of contact with Finance on planning cycles, reporting, and financial processes • Build clear frameworks to track spend, manage risks, and support data-driven decisions • Prepare and structure business cases for leadership or Board decisions • Challenge assumptions on costs and investments to support smart prioritisation • Enable efficient, transparent, and compliant sourcing processes in close collaboration with central Procurement • Manage Purchase Orders and ensure full visibility and control of spend • Maintain a clear overview of vendors, contracts, and external spend • Oversee the tools landscape across Product, Engineering, and Design • Provide structured insights and recommendations to support decision-making
• Lead and evolve the Security Operations strategy and operating model. • Build a dependable security incident response capability. • Mature threat intelligence and security validation practices. • Establish key, secrets, and certificate lifecycle management. • Lead and evolve Corporate IT strategy and operating model. • Drive operational transparency through dashboards and KPIs. • Own vendor performance and budget stewardship.
• Enable Agile adoption & systemic transformation: Act as the Agile Coach for ~14 teams, ensuring consistent, pragmatic adoption of Agile principles, clear ways of working, and adherence to agreed product lifecycle procedures — while balancing team autonomy with end-to-end value. • Create flow across the organization: Design and evolve flight levels architecture to connect strategy, portfolio priorities, and team execution; facilitate delivery planning, dependency management, and cross-team coordination in a fully remote setup. • Build a strong continuous improvement & collaboration culture: Break down silos, foster transparency, and help teams establish effective feedback loops, working agreements, and communication norms tailored to remote collaboration. • Coach people, not just processes: Provide team and 1:1 coaching to product managers, engineers, and leaders, building psychological safety, accountability, and healthy team dynamics across a distributed, multicultural workforce.

• Structure and grow long‑term partnerships with EPI members across Europe • Drive merchant acquisition and Wero acceptance , ensuring progress against defined objectives • Support the acquisition and onboarding of new members and acceptance providers • Represent and promote Wero within the European payments ecosystem • Support EPI’s engagement with a portfolio of members and prospects , contributing to sales and business development activities across all EPI markets • Work closely with EPI acquiring members to structure relationships (community and bilateral meetings), ensure regular follow‑up, provide internal reporting, and enable efficient merchant acquisition for Wero acceptance
• Shape the experience of Europe’s next-generation digital identity infrastructure • Design and deliver world-class identity flows for EUDI and Wero • Lead the conception and prototyping of critical identity journeys • Influence experience principles across the organisation • Provide design continuity across phases • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content Design in a remote-first environment
