• Lead and motivate Local Coordinators to make timely, high-quality placements and meet target placements within the assigned region. • Coordinate Local Coordinators and their schools when needed regarding student registration or enrollment. • Distribute student profiles to Local Coordinators as needed. • Train Local Coordinators to become as self-sufficient as possible using the resources provided to them. • Meet and/or exceed assigned target for student placements within established deadlines. • Use the resources provided to guide strategy for Local Coordinators in recruiting host families and guide LCs through creative outreach and marketing. • Oversee student and host family matching process in a designated region. • Ensure Local Coordinators have the necessary marketing materials. • Maintain and develop new high school relationships. • Provide Local Coordinators with host family recruitment tools, resources, and ongoing support and guidance through placements of students. • In collaboration with the Program Support Specialist, co-manage, lead, guide, mentor, and coach the Local Coordinators of the region. • Work closely with the Program Support Specialist to ensure all requirements and paperwork are compliant for placements. • Collaborate with the Training Manager to ensure Local Coordinators are fully trained and communicate areas of need as they arise.
• Communicate the Value of Study Abroad – Inspire and educate U.S. high school students and their legal guardians about the life-changing benefits of studying abroad. • Engage and Motivate Applicants – Follow a structured sales outreach process to proactively connect with students and families via phone, text, and email, focusing on converting leads to open applications. • Guide Students Through the Application Process – Provide coaching and support throughout the scholarship and application journey, helping families navigate barriers to participation. • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service – Offer professional and timely assistance to students and parents from initial inquiry through program acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure preparation. • Manage a High Call Volume – Consistently exceed 30 calls per day (resulting in over 500 minutes of talk time per week), adjusting outreach focus based on application volume spikes and highest-potential territories. • Host Virtual Webinars – Lead large-group presentations for students and parents, including some evening sessions. • Present at In-Person Events – Visit high schools to connect with students and families, requiring occasional domestic travel. • Applications Review and Acceptance – Review applications for eligibility, approve acceptances, and convert applicants into confirmed, paid participants. • Oversee Participant Financials – Ensure accurate financial records, follow up on payments, and resolve any discrepancies. • Utilise Salesforce for Pipeline Management – Track and manage applicants, maintain accurate communication records, and work toward enrollment goals in our CRM system Salesforce. • Provide Summer Program Support – Assist participants while they are on-program. • Support Recruitment Efforts – Travel domestically as needed to promote programs and represent the organisation at school events. • Chaperone International Student Flights – Accompany student groups on flights up to once per year. • Participate in Ongoing Training – Engage in sales and professional development sessions to improve effectiveness and professional growth. • Adapt to a Flexible Work Schedule – Some evening hours are required to accommodate students and guardians. • Provide Emergency Travel Support – Be available for 1–2 travel weekends per year to assist with urgent situations. • Demonstrate High Flexibility – This role does not have assigned territories and requires adaptability to support different regions and team needs as priorities shift. • Cover Pipeline Management – Step in when other Coordinators are at in-school presentations or on PTO to ensure no loss of outreach. • Support Seasonal Employees – Monitor sales calls and provide coaching to improve the effectiveness of seasonal staff. • Assist with Onboarding and Training – Support the Conversion Coach in onboarding and continued training of new hires. • Manage and develop five Sales Managers as your direct reports. • Set clear expectations, give consistent feedback, and run regular 1:1s that move people towards sales goals. • Support and monitor the management of Sales Coordinators, coaching your Sales Managers to hold their own direct reports accountable, and stepping in directly when a territory needs it. • Build a culture of accountability and high standards that the entire 12–16-person team buys into. • Recognize excellent work publicly; address inconsistent work privately and quickly. • Hold the bar on performance. • Identify underperformance early, design and execute coaching plans, and make timely decisions, including PIPs and exits, when coaching doesn't produce change. • Develop the next generation of CIEE sales leaders. • Identify high-potential sales individuals and support their professional growth. • Apply your own experience and success to guide your team in overall sales strategy, specific tactics, best practices, and conversion methods. • Drive regional strategy to exceed ambitious enrollment and revenue goals across all program lines. • Shape the expansion of school and district partnerships, with a focus on cultivating relationships with key school and district-level stakeholders. • Partner with state language teacher associations to reach new stakeholders. • Model best-in-class sales practices through field work, ride-along, and live coaching on virtual calls. • Own the training plan for the regional team. • Ensure deep product knowledge across all Global Navigator programs and consistent application of CIEE's sales methodology. • Conduct in-field training and stakeholder meetings to develop your Sales Managers' ability to lead higher-level account conversations. • Contribute to the design and delivery of three annual in-person teamwide sales training events. • Guide teams to effectively manage their application pipeline, execute high-volume outreach, and convert applications into traveled students. • Oversee pipeline reviews, CRM hygiene, and reporting to inform strategy and decisions. • Drive consistent sales strategies for both scholarship and full-pay student demographics. • Partner with the Data Analyst team and other department leaders to refine CRM management, improve systems, and ensure accurate reporting. • Surface and resolve challenges in struggling territories. • Represent CIEE at regional and national conferences and CIEE-sponsored events. • Build and advance new key accounts through in-person engagement. • Travel 25-35% of the time, including overnight travel, to support your teams and represent the organization. • Provide on-program support to parents and legal guardians for escalated on-program issues, a meaningful but limited part of the role. • Lead initiatives related to new school sales, custom programming, operational efficiencies, and new business opportunities as they arise.
• Manage all systems and processes related to recruitment, training, and monitoring of Ambassadors. • Develop a recruitment, onboarding, training, and sales and marketing plan to meet annual ambassador recruitment and referral goals. • Train internal sales and marketing teams on all aspects of the ambassador program. • Recruit Ambassadors throughout the year to be on-program content creators, and/or student-facing campus ambassadors upon return. • Coordinate across all College Study Abroad teams, global operations teams, and other internal CIEE stakeholders to ensure the communications, systems and processes are aligned to support all efforts related to the ambassador program. • Manage and measure success of both individual student ambassadors as well as the program and cohorts overall, creating and sharing clear metrics to keep ambassadors engaged and on track, as well as to report out internally. • Pilot and test new outreach tactics and strategies to improve ambassador outreach and engagement and share outcomes. • Identify internal business needs and recommend specific solutions to new or changing customer needs.
• Manage CIEE’s current relationships with study abroad staff, faculty, and other administrators at partner institutions with the goal of increasing enrollments and overall revenue at those institutions. • Strategize with institutional partners to increase enrollment of students in study abroad programs. • Develop and sustain new relationships with Study Abroad Office staff, faculty, and other institution administrators in your portfolio. • Collaborate with study abroad partners to expand CIEE’s brand presence and working relationships with all institutional influencers and stakeholders outside of the study abroad office. • Strategize with institutions to increase and diversify study abroad participation. • Function as primary CIEE contact for all institutions in the portfolio using regular phone, email, and in-person interaction. • Create and host student-facing activities, faculty meetings, staff trainings, and other outreach activities as assigned. • Represent CIEE at study abroad events, pre-departure orientations, and other institutional engagements throughout the portfolio. • Strategize with the Assistant Director, Institutional Relations to plan and implement an annual strategy for achieving goals. • Collaborate with various internal departments to leverage their expertise for customer support and sales calls with key institutions. • Represent CIEE at national and regional professional conferences including NAFSA, Forum, and CIEE’s annual conferences. • Maintain detailed records of all activities related to institutions in the designated portfolio and manage institutional profiles in CRM (SalesForce). • Develop fluency with data visualisation software in driving evidence-based partner support, strategy, and decision-making. • Provide input on marketing strategies for institutions in the assigned portfolio and conduct market research, as necessary. • Manage personal travel budget appropriately. Hours may be uneven and fall outside of the typical 9-5 range. Extensive seasonal travel may be required - as much as 2-4 days/week, during two separate 2-3 month periods aligning with the Fall and Spring college semesters. • Roughly 95% of travel is domestic, 5% is international. • Meet individual and team goals for enrollments and approved programs. Other goals will be assigned. These goals are both seasonal and annual. Goals and targets are evaluated and adjusted on a routine basis.
• Serve as an admissions expert for students advising them on appropriate programs based on their studies and interests. • Manage large volume of emails, texts and outbound calls, address questions, solve problems and/or direct people to the appropriate CIEE team member. • Respond to inbound inquiries within a 24-hour response time. • Schedule prompt follow-up with prospective students to provide support and determine the level of commitment, and execute strategies to inform students about CIEE programs at all phases of the inquiry and application process. • Organise and host information sessions, webinars, tabling events, and classroom presentations to raise awareness about CIEE programs. • Work with Institutional Relations Managers to provide support directly to partner institutions and develop strategies to better serve their students. • Meet personal and team qualitative and quantitative targets (i.e., completed applications and conversion of those applications) set by leadership. • Support on-campus student engagement opportunities as directed by your Manager. • Attend training sessions to stay updated on product and/or company updates. • Upsell/cross-sell of products and services when opportunity arises (e.g., internships). • Document call information and input data into company CRM to keep customer records updated.
• Manage an active pipeline of custom program opportunities to meet annual sales goals. • Collaborate with the Institutional Relations team to generate new program leads and secure new institutional partnerships. • Build relationships with partners by understanding their needs and objectives and delivering strong customer service. • Collaborate with international teams to draft program budgets, create program proposals, and write contracts. • Manage the pre-departure planning and preparation process with partners and CIEE staff. • Engage in CIEE and industry conferences and events to sell and promote CIEE’s Custom Programs. • Assist with special projects and other tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of Custom Programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of school influencers and advocates. • Collaborate with school partners to increase awareness of study abroad opportunities. • Develop and execute strategic partnership plans that increase student participation in CIEE programs. • Lead, manage, and mentor direct reports (Enrollment Coordinators) to oversee the student sales process. • Deliver engaging presentations to students, parents, and administrators, both virtually and in-person. • Analyze enrollment trends, school engagement data, and market opportunities to inform partnership strategies. • Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities and engagement plans within our CRM system.
• Manage Study Abroad Advisor team: coach, mentor, and ensure the success of staff, including yearly performance review and support with annual goal setting. • Support Study Abroad Advisors, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and strategy to meet or exceed enrollment targets. • Provide updates on progress of team towards goals using CRM, ad hoc reports, and other tools. • Organize and conduct weekly meetings with team and individual staff. • Regularly review internal processes and procedures along with results of student evaluations to ensure superior customer service throughout the application process. • Work closely with internal departments, such as Billing, Institutional Relations, Marketing, Academic Affairs, IT, and international staff to strategize efforts in recruitment, marketing, and application conversion. • Act as Enrollment department contact for key sending institutions. • Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives such as in-office visa processing and support mission-driven programs. • Manage hiring and training of new staff. • Foster an environment of positivity, growth, and development for teammates, encouraging creative thought processes. • At all times, exercise good professional judgment and consideration in promptly addressing problems and questions that arise with students, parents, and CIEE staff. • Represent CIEE with integrity, accuracy, and in the spirit of its mission. • Perform other duties as assigned
• The Associate Director of Custom Programs leads the strategy, growth, and delivery of CIEE's High School Custom Programs. • Drive ambitious year-over-year growth by expanding the breadth of programs with returning schools, winning new school partners, and designing richer, longer programs. • Manage two Custom Program Managers. • Personally hold 2-3 of CIEE's top strategic Custom accounts. • Work closely with the national sales team who owns school relationships.
