• Prepares and reviews federal, state, and local tax returns for all Brookdale’s corporate and partnership entities • Oversees appeals, sales tax returns, and other corporate filings • Prepares and reviews the analysis of tax adjustments and general ledger allocations • Assists with the quarterly and annual tax provision for consolidated group as well as stand-alone reporting • Main point of contact for CorpTax software to prepare and electronically file tax returns
• Oversees and directs the sales efforts for multiple communities and products within district, major markets, networks and stand-alone communities • Responsible and accountable for meeting and exceeding the occupancy and revenue goals • Supports the professional development of community sales associates and provides coaching related to selling skills, pipeline management and sales execution • Fosters a strong sales performance culture across the district • Successfully manages sales performance within the assigned district • Monitors occupancy trends and ensures execution of sales activities by team members • Leads district alignment around competitive positioning and marketing plans • Achieves and exceeds all occupancy and revenue goals for assigned district • Leads and develops the team of community sales associates and business development professionals within the district • Oversees creation of district business development and lead generation plans • Assists in interviewing and hiring of all sales staff in their portfolio of communities • Ensures effective onboarding of new sales hires • Oversees completion of the marketing plan and budget for the district • Partners with the marketing team in the development and modification of near and long-range community marketing plans and budgets • Assesses local markets and competitive positioning within assigned district and makes pricing and incentive/discounting recommendations • Monitors sales performance expectations and gaps at the community and district level • Assesses the knowledge, skills and abilities of sales staff on an ongoing basis • Visits each community within district on a scheduled basis and as approved by Division Director of Sales or VP Sales • Interacts with Clinical Operations and other home office associates • Promotes the company in a positive manner and sets the example for company’s standards for excellence
• Oversees and directs the sales efforts for multiple communities and products within Districts, Major Markets, Clusters and stand-alone communities. • Manages one or more District Sales and Marketing Directors, Regional Sales and Marketing Managers or M3 Sales Leaders. • Responsible and accountable for meeting and exceeding the occupancy and revenue goals while supporting operational policies. • Provides management for the development and monitoring of marketing plans and budgets. • Achieves and exceeds all occupancy and revenue goals. • Coordinates sales planning and use of marketing budget dollars to create shared efficiencies in media. • Assists in interviewing, hiring, training and coaching all marketing staff in the portfolio of communities they manage. • Visits each community within district on a scheduled basis to partner with on-site marketing teams and Executive Directors. • Conducts quality assurance calls on all selling marketing staff including business development calls and analyzes competitive data for community staff. • Promotes Brookdale in a positive manner and sets the example for the company’s standards for excellence.
• Manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident’s healthcare needs are met • Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensure quality care as resident’s healthcare needs change • Supervise licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the community • Strengthen clinical processes within community until a replacement is identified, then support newly assigned Health and Wellness Director • Travel within the division as assigned to support management vacancy, start up, vacations, etc.
• Provides strategic clinical oversight and support of the day-to-day clinical community operations to Executive Directors, Health and Wellness Directors and clinical associates • Supports the company goals and strategies and optimizes resources to ensure quality care and service delivery • Conducts regular clinical quality audits through community site visits and audits of all health care areas to ensure compliance with Brookdale standards and state regulations, appropriate resident assessments, appropriate staffing, staff training, and quality assurance • Analyzes specific community models to support staffing of clinical positions based on community size and residents receiving services • Supports the implementation of quality care and services, and encourages the development of medical professional relationships within the community • Ensures the CARE process is being executed appropriately to address controllable resident move outs • Provides clinical guidance to field staff, when necessary, to determine appropriate level of care for resident move-ins • Participates in hiring, training, and mentoring of Health and Wellness Directors and other field level clinical associates
• Researches and resolves billing errors, disputes, cash application, and other issues through regular customer account audits to provide customers and business partners with accurate billing information while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. • Resolves account inquiries and escalates unsettled discrepancies to provide timely resolution. • Assists in training associates on Accounts Receivable policies, procedures, and functionality available in company platforms. • Identifies potential customer account issues through review of daily, weekly, and monthly generated reports and queries. Works to resolve issues timely.
• Generates high-volume recurring streams of new move-in revenue for assigned Brookdale communities with open Sales and Marketing Director positions • Prioritizes the outperformance of budgeted sales goals and community revenue targets by efficiently performing all processes and tasks required to close sales • Develops and executes marketing plans to achieve community occupancy goals • Represents the ideal Brookdale sales professional and promotes a mission-driven sales culture • Travels to communities within a designated geographic area • Supervises and coaches the daily sales activities of at least two full-time associates onsite to achieve desired move-in results • Drives rapid occupancy growth and prioritizes rate integrity where assigned • Attends daily stand-up meetings and communicates current product information to appropriate community associates • Partners with Director(s) of District Sales to develop and execute business plans • Maintains a working knowledge of sales-specific software programs and Customer Relationship Management systems
• Supports the District Director of Clinical Services (DDCS) in managing the healthcare operations of the communities in an assigned district • Travels throughout the district weekly to communities as assigned by the DDCS • Fills the role of HWD in assigned communities when an HWD is on leave, extended vacation or the position is vacant • Provides clinical support and guidance for communities with regulatory deficiencies • Audits community clinical compliance and partners with other leaders to design and implement action plans as needed • Provides root cause analysis and hands on support to ensure clinical outcome are meeting standards and key areas are current • Supports clinical initiatives and roll-outs by leading training for the district and/or individual communities as assigned by DDCS • Participates in a variety of meetings with the division, district and individual communities • Provides training, coaching and guidance to clinical leaders and front line staff • Ensures proper and timely documentation in accordance with Brookdale policies and procedures and federal and state requirements
• Utilize leadership qualities to inspire, lead and manage the clinical team • Build relationships with residents, families, physicians and other healthcare providers • Collaborate with community leadership and mentor associates • Ensure highest quality of care and services for residents • Participate in on-the-job training experiences for skill development in managerial and clinical responsibilities
• Assists directors of CCRC’s, retirement communities or assisted living residences with supervision and management on a temporary, extended or as needed basis. • May be assigned to a residence during a management vacancy, start up, acquisition, vacations, and leaves of absence or may support a Regional Vice President with a special project, etc. • Conducts operations in a manner consistent with value drivers and strategic initiatives to uphold and improve customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction, occupancy, culture, and operational effectiveness. • Assists in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive team atmosphere. • Provides assistance in the areas of marketing, outreach, resident admissions, resident assessments and discharge procedures. • May assess the training needs for staff, and provide training as needed. • Works to resolve issues identified by residents and/or their family members. • Ensures residence building and grounds are clean, free of trash and litter, and maintained in good repair.
