Role Description This is a remote role, but you are welcome to join us in our Munich Office. The contract is limited to 5 months. - Develop cutting-edge tools in Bragi's proprietary audio testing environment, focusing on automation of audio features for headphones, TWS earbuds, and Speakers. - AI-based scenario and test case development. - Work hands-on with audio hardware in/with our automated audio lab and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setups to ensure voice control accuracy, device reliability, and audio quality. - Execute a mix of automated and manual tests, actively improving test coverage and efficiency. - Analyze test results with a focus on audio performance and voice interaction, report findings, and collaborate with developers to ensure high product quality. - Maintain and troubleshoot Bragi’s audio test infrastructure, resolving hardware and software-related issues swiftly. - Develop and document detailed audio and voice control test plans using Qase. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in software testing, ideally with a focus on audio products (headphones, earbuds, speakers, or voice-controlled devices). - Strong skills in Python and object-oriented programming. - Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab). - Solid knowledge of automated testing frameworks and processes. - Passion for working with physical audio devices, someone who enjoys testing directly on hardware, not just in software simulations. - A proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership, drive, and team collaboration. - Strong interest and ideally prior experience in using AI tooling (Claude or similar). - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Requirements - Experience testing voice assistant features (Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri) on hardware. - Knowledge of Robot Framework. - Familiarity with bash scripting or Windows batch scripting. - Background in acoustics, audio engineering, or voice recognition technologies. - Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced). • Define and execute the mobile test automation strategy; partner with architects and embedded teams to improve testing at system, subsystem, and integration levels (unit/component tests remain with partner dev teams) • Own and evolve our Python, pytest, and Appium framework; drive Android and iOS tests on real devices in our in-house farm with parallel execution • Implement and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for the test suite, including runner sizing, reporting, retries, and flake management • Integrate AI-assisted tooling into the workflow; pair daily with AI coding assistants to accelerate test authoring and framework development, and shape adoption across the QA team • Analyse test results (Allure, HTML reports) and collaborate with developers to diagnose, fix, and retest defects, particularly for audio features (ANC, Transparency, EQ, hot words, voice control) • Develop and maintain test specifications; execute automated and exploratory tests; drive continuous improvement

• Perform requirements analysis from both SoC vendor and Bragi Feature and Mobile library offering and support by a given SoC vendor • Identify gaps between the vendors offering and Bragi's support and vise versa • Bragi FW and mobile middleware integration and validation • Mobile SDK adaptation to match to the existing SoC feature offering and firmware interfaces • Developing and implementing advanced Android applications and libraries • Collaborating in and with cross-functional teams (Product, Design and QA) to define, design, and launch new features • Evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance development efficiency • Improving performance, debugging and refactoring • Ensuring robust and reliable software through focus on testability • Communication between the customer and Bragi's R&D in Europe: Identify blockers and suggest improved approaches and documentation for fast time to market • Design, implement and improve support processes between the development teams in China and Europe e.g. documentation, extend or develop tooling • Support ODMs and test engineers (ODM, at Bragi) as part of the 'Bragi certification program' to ensure a flawless support of the Bragi feature offering
