Role Description The Fund Migrations Senior Manager is a senior leader on the team responsible for fund accounting and fund migration functions, delivering exceptional accounting, reporting, and onboarding services to investment managers on the AngelList platform. This role provides leadership across the full lifecycle of fund administration, including: - Fund migrations - Ongoing fund accounting operations - Client service - Process improvement - Operational excellence The Fund Migrations Senior Manager reports to the Fund Accounting Director and partners closely with other leaders across Fund Accounting, Operations, Product, Engineering, and Client Relations to ensure scalable, accurate, and efficient service delivery. This role is responsible for: - Developing managers and senior associates - Driving operational consistency - Improving client outcomes - Identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI throughout the organization You Will: - Lead and develop a team responsible for fund accounting operations and fund migrations, ensuring consistent execution, high-quality client service, and achievement of departmental objectives. - Provide leadership and oversight across the full lifecycle of fund administration, including fund onboarding, accounting operations, financial reporting, capital activity, investor servicing, and fund conversions. - Coach, mentor, and develop managers and individual contributors through regular feedback, performance management, career development planning, and succession planning. - Establish operational standards, key performance indicators, and quality control processes that drive consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across teams. - Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to improve internal systems, automate manual processes, and enhance the client experience. - Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting, operational, and client issues, working cross-functionally to resolve challenges while maintaining strong client relationships. - Oversee resource planning, capacity management, and team prioritization to ensure deadlines, service levels, and client expectations are consistently achieved. - Drive operational excellence by identifying process inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and standardizing workflows across fund accounting and migration functions. - Build trusted relationships with investment managers, auditors, tax providers, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders while representing AngelList as a senior operational leader. - Look at existing processes and ask whether AI and automation could do them better. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in public accounting, fund administration, fund accounting, or investment operations, with significant experience supporting venture capital, private equity, or other alternative investment asset classes. - CPA license strongly preferred. - 5+ years of progressive people leadership experience managing managers and high-performing accounting or operations teams. - Deep knowledge of investment company accounting (ASC 946), fund structures, capital activity, financial reporting, waterfalls, management fees, carried interest, and fund operations. - Demonstrated success leading complex operational initiatives, large-scale process improvements, system implementations, or fund migration projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders. - Exceptional leadership, coaching, and organizational skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Strong project management skills with the ability to balance strategic initiatives while ensuring flawless execution of day-to-day operations. - Outstanding communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional partners. - Experience leveraging operational metrics and data to drive decision-making, improve performance, and scale service delivery. - A strategic mindset with a passion for building scalable processes, embracing innovation, and improving operational efficiency. - An instinct to question existing processes and use AI and automation to build better ones. • Execute core tax operations workflows, including tax documentation (Forms W-8, W-9, and W-8IMY), intermediary allocations, withholding, and year-end information reporting (Forms 1099, 1042-S, and 8805) • Prepare, review, and reconcile tax withholding calculations and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance • Investigate and resolve tax notices by gathering supporting documentation, researching issues, and coordinating with internal teams • Monitor reporting deadlines, identify exceptions, and escalate issues that may impact tax compliance or delivery timelines • Collaborate with tax, fund accounting, operations, engineering, and offshore teams to support day-to-day execution and continuously improve tax processes • Document procedures, assist with testing system enhancements, and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve tax workflows

• Manage the day-to-day accounting and administration for a portfolio of private investment funds, including venture capital, private equity, or other fund strategies. • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable accounting standards. • Calculate and review net asset values (NAVs), capital account statements, management fees, carried interest allocations, and investor allocations. • Process and oversee capital calls, distributions, investor transfers, and other fund transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. • Reconcile cash, investments, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts while investigating and resolving discrepancies. • Coordinate with auditors, tax specialists and fund managers to support annual audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by responding to inquiries, delivering exceptional service, and communicating complex accounting matters clearly and professionally. • Look at existing processes and ask whether AI and automation could do them better

• Perform daily cash reconciliations between bank accounts, accounting systems, and internal records across multiple funds and legal entities. • Investigate, research, and resolve cash breaks and reconciliation exceptions within established service level agreements. • Monitor daily cash movements including capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, investment funding, and operating expenses. • Record and validate cash transactions within the fund accounting platform while ensuring accurate general ledger postings. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding cash discrepancies. • Assist with quarter-end, and year-end close processes by ensuring all cash activity has been accurately reconciled. • Support external audits by providing reconciliation support, documentation, and responding to auditor requests. • Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced operational controls. • Look at existing processes and ask whether AI and automation could do them better

Role Description The Fund Migrations Manager is a critical member of the team responsible for overseeing the onboarding and migration of funds to the AngelList platform. This team member will oversee all aspects of the transition of funds from incumbent administrators, including: - Project management - Data validation - Operational setup - Stakeholder communication - Post-conversion stabilization The Fund Migrations Manager will report to the Fund Accounting Senior Manager or the Fund Accounting Director and collaborate with other fund accounting team members and cross-functional operations teams. You will lead a team of migration specialists while serving as a primary point of contact for clients during the administrator transition process. The role will involve interfacing directly with fund leads and their teams, incumbent administrators, and other parties. You Will: - Lead end-to-end fund migrations by managing the transition of non-registered funds from incumbent administrators to the AngelList platform. - Serve as the primary project manager for multiple concurrent migration engagements, developing project plans, tracking milestones, managing risks, and ensuring timely, successful implementation. - Review and validate migrated data, including investor capital accounts, general ledger balances, investment portfolios, commitments, capital activity, waterfall calculations, and historical financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Partner directly with clients and external stakeholders to gather information, manage expectations, resolve issues, and provide regular project updates throughout the migration process. - Manage, mentor, and develop a team of fund migration specialists by providing technical guidance, coaching, performance management, and opportunities for professional growth. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation by evaluating existing workflows, recommending system enhancements, and implementing solutions that reduce manual effort and improve the client onboarding experience. - Drive exceptional client outcomes by ensuring migrations are completed on schedule, with a high degree of accuracy, strong communication, and minimal operational disruption, while building long-term trusted relationships with investment manager clients. - Look at existing processes and ask whether AI and automation could do them better. Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in public accounting, fund administration, fund accounting, investment operations, or a related financial services environment, with experience supporting alternative investment funds. CPA license is preferred but not essential. - 3+ years of project management experience leading complex client implementations, fund onboardings, or large-scale operational initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. - People management experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture. - Strong knowledge of alternative investment structures, including private equity, venture capital, and/or digital asset funds, with a solid understanding of investment company accounting (ASC 946). - Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple concurrent projects, mitigate risks, and consistently deliver high-quality results. - Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships with clients, senior leadership, external service providers, and cross-functional internal teams. - An instinct to question existing processes and use AI and automation to build better ones. • Own and execute the operational workflows that move SPVs and venture funds from submission, through launch, to first deployment, and throughout the fund lifecycle. • Execute end-to-end subscription workflows for LPs investing via IRAs, including LP onboarding, subscription document processing, and investor support. • Manage a high-volume pipeline of active SPV launches, triaging priorities and hitting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy. • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Customer Relations teams to resolve blockers and ensure fund operations run smoothly across all stages. • Work closely with the Fund Formations and Legal teams to process Fund Amendments and run LP consent campaigns. • Support the quarterly transitions of active rolling funds, maintaining strong and prompt communication with the Customer Relations team, GPs, and Engineering team. • Identify discrepancies, edge cases, and recurring failure points; escalate appropriately and drive root cause resolution. • Coordinate with offshore teammates, including training and onboarding, queue management, and support with escalations. • Build and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and workflow guides to support team scalability and knowledge transfer. • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement no-code, low-code, or AI automations to reduce manual work and strengthen controls. • Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal teams on all workflows.

• Provide information about the fund to the fund lead, portfolio companies, and limited partners. Work with legal, financial, tax, and other teams to gather any information that may not be already available. • Determine the appropriateness of requests and find ways to address underlying concerns where information is confidential or not directly applicable. • Analyze fund data and documents to answer questions about source of funds, foreign control, and more. • Work with third-party vendors to open special accounts, convert share formats, procure tax IDs, and organize apostilled documentation on behalf of funds. • Adapt to evolving compliance requirements globally, noting patterns and building solutions. • Build and maintain processes to efficiently address evolving requirements, keeping documentation up to date. • Identify recurring or anticipated issues and drive process improvements to increase deployment speed, reduce errors, and strengthen controls. • Track and leverage data and analytics to improve processes and workflows. • Build no-code, low-code, and AI automations to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Own and execute the new money deployment process and fund investment approvals end-to-end. • Approve venture fund, rolling fund, and SPV investments to be deployed on the platform, ensuring readiness and completeness prior to deployment. • Review investment documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal requirements; flag risks, discrepancies, and missing information. • Support internal teams in navigating investment documentation and the deployment process (clear guidance, crisp handoffs, and reliable follow-through). • Coordinate deployment of funds to portfolio companies, ensuring correct amounts, timing, and supporting documentation. • Record investments in internal records with precision, maintaining high data integrity across systems of record. • Identify recurring issues and drive process improvements to increase deployment speed, reduce errors, and strengthen controls. • Execute sanity-check reconciliations against the fund’s general ledger, validating deployed amounts, timing, and recorded investment details to ensure internal records align with source-of-truth accounting.

• Identify whether a fund has a filing requirement and support the preparation and filing of U.S. federal and state tax returns, including extensions • Perform taxable income analyses and support annual partnership and corporate tax compliance • Prepare amended returns (AARs) and support reissuance processes • Analyze transactions with tax reporting implications, including installment sales, QSBS, tax-free exchanges, SAFEs, and convertible notes • Perform tax-related operational work tied to fund accounting, including recording and reconciling transactions from a tax perspective • Take ownership of assigned workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication of status and risks • Work cross-functionally with fund accounting, finance, legal, engineering, and operations teams to gather information and resolve issues needed for tax compliance and reporting • Conduct evaluation and testing of proprietary systems to support accuracy and scalability • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflows • Contribute to documentation as the tax function scales
