• Responsible for sales efforts to originate and close mortgage loans. • Maintain an active Ameris Bank sponsored Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E Act requirements. • Establish and maintain all client relationships with realtors, builders, developers, branches and other referral agents on an ongoing basis. • Contact in person or by phone potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business. • Counsel customers on all products the customer is eligible to obtain ensuring the product chosen best fits their financial needs. • Assist customers with completing the loan application, provide/explain required initial documentation and disclosures according to the required timelines. • Oversee loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms. • Communicate to loan processors regarding coordination of workflow and files in process. • Adhere to established minimum fees and product pricing structure. • Attend all purchase loan closing transactions on behalf of Ameris Bank Mortgage as required. • Keep informed on all Ameris Bank Mortgage loan programs and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements. • Meet and exceed the minimum production standards as detailed in the compensation agreement.
• Assist the Compliance Advisory Manager or other leader as appropriate in ensuring an effective compliance management system. • Ensure adequate policies and written 1st and 2nd line of defense procedures are in place for compliance with all related regulations for areas assigned. • Consult with business and operations units on compliance matters as well as compliance risk assessments. • Provide compliance guidance in product or operational change initiatives. • Review and approve advertising marketing material. • Review and monitor findings while consulting with line of business on corrective action. • Track issues and corrective action in AuditBoard. • Conduct deep-dive compliance reviews and prepare management reports on findings. • Evaluate regulatory changes for business impacts. • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to more junior staff. • Assist internal audits and examinations and corrective action as applicable. • Prepare reports for management and Enterprise Risk Committees on compliance performance, emerging compliance risks and corrective action measures. • Participate in Compliance, Risk and other management committees as needed.

Role Description Responsible for playing an important role within the Financial Crimes Compliance group by performing Quality Control oversight of alert assessments, case investigations, EDD reviews, and/or SAR reviews. This role will ensure the Bank performs effective QC oversight, identifying, documenting, reporting and tracking regulatory and policy violations as well as significant risk issues to the Investigations team supervisor and other AML Management. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. - Conduct reviews of alert assessments, case investigations, EDD reviews, and/or SAR reviews and other documents as a secondary control to determine appropriate analysis was performed. - Perform CTR reviews and/or approvals. - Report and track quality control results. - Determine necessary follow-up action relating to findings resulting from quality control reviews. - Draft quality control scorecards to report summaries to management. - Provide feedback to AML operations staff as well as management. - Provide coaching and training to AML operations staff on QC and industry topics periodically. - Act as the Bank's designated mandated reporter with regard to Elder Financial Exploitation reports by state. - Perform QC reviews on department reports as needed. - Analyze and communicate proposed enhancements to address identified risks or gaps in processes. - Stay current with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviors, trends, patterns and typologies. - Stay current with rules, laws and regulations. Role Description Responsible for working with Credit Administration and the Market Bank on loan structure and terms, leading loan requests through the credit approval process, and assisting with the overall portfolio management. The position requires direct client contact, providing financial analysis to maximize profitability, and is a valuable member of the support team for the client. Other duties as assigned. - Provide loan structure guidance and apply analytical assistance to mitigate risks in relationships consistent with Ameris Bank loan policies. - Work with Regional Credit Officer in recommending appropriate structure, e.g., financial and non-financial covenants, and any special approval conditions. - Facilitate the receipt of financial updates on lending relationships. - Assist with the preparation of detailed analysis of borrower's financials for highly complexity new and renewal loans, and prepare Loan Committee approvals and updates as needed. - Prepare or assist in the preparation of concise, well-reasoned, credit memorandums to maintain timely administration of the loan portfolio. - Assist with the monitoring of the loan portfolio through report preparation and maintenance. - Perform financial covenant testing for borrowers. - Communicate material financial changes or covenant non-compliance within existing relationships to the Regional Credit Officer. - Prepare Market Studies and Annual Reviews as needed. - Manage all needed resources that will efficiently obtain the credit approval of loans requiring approvals above individual officer limits. - Assist with the presentation of loan requests to the respective committees for approval. - Work with Commercial Banking Assistants, Account Officers, and other providers to manage the closure and funding of loans. - Participate in business development efforts with Account Officers which would include prospect call support and identifying potential additional product needs during underwriting. - Exhibit a thorough understanding of the Ameris Bank credit culture and the terms and conditions under which loans should be presented and closed. - Maintain awareness of Ameris Bank products and services and how they can be offered to clients and prospects. • Conducts quality assurance reviews on booked loan transactions • Reviews the loan documents to confirm loan data entered on the system is accurate and complies with bank policy to ensure all loans are properly booked • Ensure timely escalation of any operational risk or customer impact to relevant manager and ensures corrections are made timely to reduce the risk of impact to the customer • Reviews loans which have escrow for accuracy and ensures the setup on the operating system is accurate and that all escrows are set up as described on the escrow disclosure • Reports deficiencies on a timely basis to management, enters the error for tracking purposes and confirms the corrections have been made • Understands and ensures the bank coding for swap loans, participations and syndications is accurate • Conduct root cause analysis by identifying weaknesses within a certain process or area and reports this information to management • Provide updates at regular meetings with Loan Operations, Risk Controls, Compliance etc. • Interacts with immediate supervisor and team members regarding loan documentation or procedures if there are questions or concerns • Completes needed training for other Loan Operations staff members as assigned • Responsible for ensuring that the Bank's internal and external customers receive an adequate level of service and ensures all questions or concerns have been addressed • Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements, applies organizational policies and procedures in all activities • Adheres to all regulatory laws and adheres to compliance policies and regulations • Completes assigned regulatory compliance training courses
