Role Description The Senior Accountant will support Nooks’ ongoing efforts to implement and refine future-state close processes and procedures, auditor requests, research and validate possible tax treatments and strategies, and review 3rd party accounting treatments for accuracy. This is an individual contributor role with partial dotted-line management duties for our 3rd party accounting team. - Manage Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End close processes in conjunction with the 3rd party accounting team. - Review close processes and procedures for reasonableness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. - Vet potential software improvements to support a more efficient accounting function, including the usage of automated / AI-assisted bookkeeping and JE entry. - Support research into tax strategies as Nooks continues to grow. Qualifications - 5-7 years of accounting experience (Audit, Tax, AP/AR, etc.). - CPA preferred. - Comfort with independent research on company accounting policy inputs & treatments.
