Associate Counsel – Vendor Contract, Technology
Veeva
• Review and negotiate a range of vendor contracts and provide related legal support to internal business partners in a decentralized procurement environment. Contracts include complex technology agreements, leases, design and construction services agreements, copyright license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consulting and services agreements, media and advertising agreements, and event venue agreements. • Assist in maintaining a vendor contract database and perform other legal operations functions. • Assist in developing processes, templates, playbooks, and self-service contracts tools as Veeva continues to grow.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited law school and member in good standing of an applicable state bar or professional organization
- Experience in-house at a tech company, law firm, life sciences, or similar fast-paced environment
- 2+ years transactional experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating agreements
- Core competencies** include technology agreements, domestic privacy law and GDPR, commercial leases and construction agreements
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong aptitude towards drafting accurate documents, emails, and written materials, while still being concise and digestible for non-lawyers. Attention to detail is a must
- Proficient using MS Word including document editing, redlining and comparison functions as well as Adobe and G-Suite tools
- Ability to bring positive energy, agility and humility to a wide variety of tasks and bring a high-quality customer service approach to responsibilities
