• Ensures accountable decisions are taken at the right level in the organization • Represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases • Manages all phases of the litigation process • Reviews and evaluates title searches and insurance risk factors • Communicates underwriting requirements to counsel for buyers, sellers and lenders • Evaluates risk and exposures to determine acceptability of business • Determines premiums, terms and conditions based on established rules, rates, and guidelines • Analyzes data such as financial conditions, participation percentage, type of industry, etc. • Solves moderately complex to complex problems and analyzes possible solutions

• Advise and Counsel • Draft, review, and negotiate various corporate contracts and other legal documents, including confidentiality agreements, consulting contracts, and other documents used by ASPCA program teams. • Work in close partnership and collaboration with teams across the organization on multidisciplinary and cross-departmental projects and initiatives • Ensure efficient, scalable and compliant expansion into new areas of work • Sensibly manage operational risk to foster innovation, security, and resilience • Counsel internal clients on risk management and strategic program development • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and internal policies • In close coordination with the ASPCA’s People Team, manage and advise on legal aspects of labor and employment issues that arise within and between client teams • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on diverse substantive and procedural issues, including a wide variety of issues relevant to ASPCA initiatives and programs • Collaborate with Internal and External Partners • Liaise with other Legal Department attorneys to ensure the highest caliber of legal advice is being provided consistently to internal clients throughout the organization • Collaborate with outside counsel, particularly on litigation matters and complex labor and employment and intellectual property matters • Educate staff on legal issues and risks facing specific areas of their work through interdepartmental trainings

• Serve as a legal partner for DraftKings Predictions, our new prediction markets product, and support other emerging product areas within the New Ventures portfolio. • Analyze novel legal and regulatory issues related to financial services and consumer-facing digital products. • Provide proactive legal advice across the product lifecycle from ideation to launch to iteration balancing business goals with regulatory and risk considerations. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, IT, Compliance, and others. • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance tailored to technical and non-legal audiences. • Monitor and interpret emerging laws and trends in financial and product regulation, and advise internal teams on how they may impact our business. • Coordinate with other Legal team members and outside counsel to ensure thorough and business-aligned legal support. • Contribute to building scalable processes and playbooks for delivering legal guidance across New Ventures.

• Partner with business teams to assess and navigate legal and regulatory issues affecting licensed and regulated product offerings. • Support the Compliance, Product, and other Teams by interpreting regulatory, licensing, and enforcement requirements. • Engage with regulators to anticipate, manage, and resolve issues related to the application of regulations to products and operations. • Evaluate products, features, and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulatory obligations. • Advise on legal and regulatory considerations related to customer-facing communications and disclosures. • Collaborate with attorneys across the Legal Team to align on cross-functional legal strategies and guidance. • Manage and oversee outside counsel to support specialized regulatory and legal matters when needed.
