As a member of the Cambia Health Foundation, our Interim Associate Program Officer contributes to achieving the strategic vision and goals of the Cambia Health Foundation as part of the grantmaking team. Under the direction of the Director of Program Strategy and Evaluation, the Associate works with the Sr. Program Officers to manage a diverse grant portfolio that aligns with the Foundation's five-year strategic plan. Specifically, the position assists in managing a portfolio of grants, sponsorships and select events related to the Foundation's areas of focus. Contributes to building and maintaining ongoing relationships with grant partners, Foundation staff, and internal business partners– all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience. What You Bring to Cambia: Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in public administration, public health or related field. Minimum of 3 years experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit sector or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and with grantmaking, impact reporting or other foundation administration preferred. Skills and Attributes: · Experience in the field of corporate health-related philanthropy, behavioral health and/or health equity is preferred. · Knowledge of community needs and familiarity with non-profit organizations within the four-state geographic focus area. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems, implement appropriate solutions, evaluate outcomes and meet deadlines. · Ability to make sound independent decisions and use own initiative; while comfortable working as part of a high-functioning team. · Ability to effectively represent the Foundation with internal and external stakeholders as requested, including Cambia employees, grant partners and other external stakeholders in partnership with and as directed by the Director of Engagement and Operations. · Exceptional interpersonal skills: collegial, energetic, flexible, and motivated. · Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, demonstrated willingness to further team norms of listening to understand, building trust, respecting knowledge, staying engaged, and honoring diversity. · Excellent organizational and task prioritization skills. Ability to flex to meet sudden and unpredictable community needs. · Demonstrated willingness and ability to take initiative to ensure that Cambia Health Foundation remains a leader of innovative grantmaking strategies and practices. · Proficiency in online grants management systems, Blackbaud platform is preferred. · Proficiency in Microsoft software applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat. · Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision-making in professional settings highly desired What You Will Do at Cambia: · Assist in responding to funding inquiries, requests, and grant applications in accordance with Foundation procedures and contribute to making recommendations as part of the team. · Provide timely, professional and prompt responses to key constituencies including grantees, potential grantees, and internal corporate stakeholders. · Coordinate and organize needed resources (people, funding, materials, and other support) to assist with achieving program outcomes. · Maintain current working knowledge of general heath and health-related issues, particularly related to the Foundation's priority areas, including behavioral health and equity. · Serve as a resource for information about the Foundation to providers, funders, other target audiences and the community at large under the guidance of senior staff; be a point of contact for the region served by the Foundation. · Provide input to and assist in developing Foundation presentation to Board of Directors. · Attend regional and national conferences and stay informed of best practices in the field of corporate philanthropy and specific area of expertise, such as behavioral health and health equity. · Assist staff in managing online grants management system related to program area including all grants, reports, and related documentation in coordination with program specialist and coordinator. · Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential grantees and philanthropy peers in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors. · Design and support grantee convenings and other Foundation-led convenings, webinar and meetings. · Ability to assist in the design and implement evaluation of grant portfolio performance. · Work with Strategic Communications staff to ensure philanthropic investments are properly promoted on regional and national stages via social media and other outlets. · Provide content for ongoing website updates and annual reports, promoting positive brand recognition for the Foundation. Work Environment · Work primarily performed in a home office. · On occasion work extended hours primarily associated with specific events. · Travel may be required regionally and/or nationally for division meetings or events. The current full hourly range for this temporary role is $40.00-$50.00 per hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location.
