Role Description Eaton’s fast-growing Power Delivery & Regulation Business Unit is currently seeking a Senior Optimization Developer. Are you passionate about programming, automation, and solving complex technical challenges? This is more than a traditional software development role. You'll work on highly complex optimization challenges where software directly powers the creation of physical products used by customers around the world. This role is located at our Waukesha, WI facility but strong remote candidates will be considered with 25% travel. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. In this role, you'll apply your coding and analytical skills to develop intelligent solutions that directly influence how custom distribution transformers are designed, optimized, quoted, and manufactured. As a Senior Optimization Developer, you'll be part of a highly collaborative team at the intersection of software development, engineering, and manufacturing. You'll create and enhance the algorithms, rules, and automated processes that power Eaton's industry-leading transformer design capabilities. Every line of code you write has a tangible impact on product quality, manufacturing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business performance. In this role you will: - Develop innovative software solutions, algorithms, and automated processes that improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of transformer design and manufacturing. - Learn how complex transformer products are engineered and manufactured, then translate that knowledge into scalable programming logic and optimization rules. - Work with large and complex datasets to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, quality enhancement, and defect prevention. - Design, maintain, and continuously improve the programs that support Eaton's automated design and manufacturing systems. - Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to solve technical challenges and deliver impactful solutions. - Automate design processes for customized products while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements. - Interpret technical specifications and transform customer requirements into intelligent design solutions. - Lead and support projects focused on continuous improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence. - Generate and maintain critical data used throughout the manufacturing process to support on-time delivery and production efficiency. - Continuously expand your knowledge of software development, product engineering, manufacturing systems, and optimization technologies.
