Field Support Engineer II

• Diagnose and repair all designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per specific training, manuals and Carl Zeiss Meditec guidelines. • Schedule, create, verify and/or modify customer visits as appropriate, by assessing customers’ needs, which may include financial impact to the practice, and patients’ well being. • Complete and submit a field service report on a daily basis according to written procedures as documented in the Field Service reference database. • Complete and submit a weekly expense report according to Carl Zeiss Meditec policies and procedures. • Maintain spare parts inventory according to company guidelines and return specific spare parts as designated by policy. • Support revenue growth through the promotion and retention of service agreements. • Interface with customers in a professional, pleasant and calm demeanor. • Other duties may include, but are not limited to, instructing customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
- BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology and related fields preferred.
- A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
- Ability to think through difficult customer issues and generate satisfactory customer satisfaction results.
- Must be self-directed, able to work independently with limited management oversight.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Must be able to pass required training to service fine mechanics and optics.
- Ability to effectively service the equipment on which training is completed.
- Multiple project and time management skills are required.

• Installing, commissioning and servicing water treatment equipment including softeners, and dosing systems. • Conducting water sampling, analytical testing and environmental hygiene monitoring. • Carrying out cleaning, disinfection, flushing and descaling of water systems, tanks and cooling towers. • Supporting customers with technical advice and troubleshooting. • Managing equipment, PPE and company vehicle to the highest standards. • Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for additional products and services. • Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with company and industry standards.
• Provide technical support regarding Collins Aerospace avionics/sensors and fire detection products owned and operated by United Airlines • You will team with our repair programs group and product support group to provide resolutions for technical issues at United Airlines • Assist with installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and system test and training on site as required in accordance with Collins Aerospace and customer requirements • May act as on-site lead for major field installation or modification programs • Perform services using Collins Aerospace approved methods and workmanship standards to ensure optimum equipment operation and customer satisfaction • Support equipment and systems of high complexity and advanced technology • Competence is required in utilizing developmental techniques for experimental or prototype equipment and during configuration changes in customer systems • Act as the face of Collins Aerospace to the customer and display excellent relationship building and customer soft skills • Develop close working relationships with Collins Aerospace Sales and Service professionals to assist with new sales and service programs • Interface with Collins Engineering, Product Support Managers, Training and Repair Services • Support travel requirements - approximately 25 percent
