Job Description

Senior Software Engineer

Vynca

• Architect, design, and lead the development of scalable, high-performance systems using event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, Airflow, Flink) and distributed systems. • Own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical products, from concept to deployment, including: real-time data pipelines: design and implement event-streaming and ETL flows that process millions of records per second with low latency. • Batch & streaming hybrid architectures: leverage tools like Kafka Streams, Flink, and Spark Streaming. • Healthcare data integration: ingest, transform, and serve FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, and other clinical document standards at scale. • Build resilient, API-driven services with robust versioning and backward compatibility. • Optimize system performance (e.g., API latency reduction, error-rate minimization) through distributed caching, code refactoring, and infrastructure improvements. • Design fault-tolerant, cloud-native solutions (AWS, Kubernetes) with a focus on resilience, cost efficiency, and scalability. • Lead migration/modernization efforts while ensuring seamless customer transitions. • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, advocating for sustainable and innovative approaches. • Drive R&D initiatives to prototype and validate new technologies (e.g., AI/ML integration, real-time analytics).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 5-7 years in software engineering
  • Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience in modern frameworks (e.g., Flask/FastAPI, Spring Boot)
  • Mastery of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis), distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Strong background in building scalable, real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Airflow) and hybrid batch/stream systems
  • Hands-on experience integrating and processing healthcare data standards: FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, DICOM, etc.
  • Database design (SQL, NoSQL, DynamoDB) and data warehousing (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing performance (latency, error rates) and reducing infrastructure costs (AWS)
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; ability to navigate ambiguity and drive consensus

  • income protection benefits
  • flexible PTO
  • company holidays
