• Design and implement applications using web technologies mostly independently. • Create and maintain product and support documentation. • Analyze and evaluate requirements and propose high level design and technical solutions at all stages of development. • Analyze solutions to ensure that they are interoperable, performant and maintainable. • Adhere to team/department coding standards. • Participate in and provide final approval for code reviews. • Research technologies that will be used in new and existing modules of the solution (e.g., Machine Learning frameworks, data storage and capture frameworks etc.). • Advise and provide input into good technical design and industry trends. • Break down work for other team members and be the go to person for project issues/status. • Lead by example when it comes to department/team best practices. • Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in Netsuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable and that the project management tool in Netsuite is properly and fully utilized. • Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers and this is a major area of accountability.

• Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang. • Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices. • Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them. • Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. • Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

• Contributing code to a diverse and hybrid product codebase (backend) • Performing code reviews • Participating in sprint planning and task breakdown • Creating design documents and peer reviewing design documents

• Developing web based applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, Node, AngularJS, React, Redis, MS SQL, ElasticSearch, AWS • Performing day to day maintenance and support of all existing applications in use at Filevine • Preserving and optimizing the quality of the software • Innovating and improving on the software, features, processes, and technology • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing issues and bugs as they arise • Performing detailed and helpful code reviews • Work within assigned team to complete duties as assigned, while mentoring, training, and reviewing more junior engineers • Be part of an on-call rotation with other team members to provide escalated emergency support • Communicate frequently, clearly, and effectively with various technical and management audiences • Analyze and improve the scalability and performance of high-volume, information rich web applications.
