Role Description BioRender is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Security team – an engineer first, who contributes directly to the codebase rather than managing security from the sidelines. You'll help define how security is built into our engineering organization, contributing production code across our application (Node.js/React/Python) and infrastructure (Python, Terraform, AWS, Cloudflare) while shaping secure-by-design patterns, CI/CD automation, and engineering workflows that let the company move quickly and safely. You'll work AI-natively, using AI coding assistants and agentic tooling to accelerate your own work while helping secure the AI-powered capabilities we're building. What you'll do - Hands-on engineering & codebase contribution - Contribute production-quality code directly to the application (Node.js/React) and infrastructure (Python, Terraform) – you ship fixes and hardening yourself, not just findings for others to action. - Build and maintain security and CI/CD tooling for automation, keeping the secure path the default path. - Act as a security reviewer on RFCs and design documents, and pair with engineers to resolve issues at the source. - Architecture, design & secure SSDLC - Define secure-by-design patterns and drive standards for authentication, authorization, and API security. - Lead threat modeling on new and existing systems and turn those models into shipped controls. - Own and evolve the Secure SDLC and CI/CD security integration (SAST/DAST/SCA/secrets) – tuned for high signal and low noise. - AI-native security & automation - Work AI-natively: use AI coding assistants and agentic tooling to accelerate code review, triage, and tooling development. - Secure AI-integrated product features – reasoning about prompt injection, data leakage, and over-scoped tool, token, and data access. - Automate recurring security work so the team scales through leverage, not headcount. - Web & product security (active defense) - Perform penetration testing and code reviews (Node.js/React) using OWASP methodology. - Drive identification and remediation of application security vulnerabilities (SAST/DAST/HackerOne). - Own the bug bounty program end to end – issue evaluation, reproduction, and closing findings by shipping fixes. Qualifications - Demonstrable software engineering ability – you read code fluently, write production-quality code that engineers respect, and have contributed to real codebases (Node.js/React; Python a plus). - Fluency using AI development tools (AI coding assistants, agentic workflows) to get the job done, and a clear-eyed view of the security risks they introduce. - Expertise in web application security and secure-coding best practices, and the ability to review code and application findings. - Experience integrating and maintaining SAST/DAST systems within CI/CD, and with Secure Software Development Life Cycles. - Hands-on experience securing cloud workloads on AWS and comfort with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent); familiarity with Cloudflare a plus. - Threat-modeling experience and command of common code and network vulnerability types, their impact, and remediation. - Applied knowledge of cryptography, PKI, and TLS and their practical implementation. Requirements - Experience hardening LLM-integrated or AI-powered features in production. - Experience operating a bug bounty program (e.g. HackerOne). - Contributions to SOC 2 control design and audit readiness from the engineering side. - Relevant certifications (e.g. OSCP, OSWE, AWS Security Specialty) – valued, but not a substitute for engineering ability. Role Description As we scale, so does the trust our customers place in us to protect their data. We're hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to help harden our platform — from how we isolate workloads and control access, to how we secure our network, harden our applications, achieve audit-grade observability, and lock down our software supply chain. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll be a primary builder on a broad security roadmap spanning cloud infrastructure, identity, network, application, observability, and the software supply chain — turning it into shipped, operational reality alongside platform, infrastructure, and product engineering teams. What You’ll Do - Help design and execute a multi-year application and platform security roadmap spanning cloud infrastructure, identity, network, application, observability, and the software supply chain. - Harden our AWS and Kubernetes environments — from account/organization structure and IAM to workload identity, network segmentation, and zero-trust access. - Strengthen authentication and application-layer defenses, including anti-abuse protections, secure headers, and multi-tenant isolation. - Build out the security observability stack: audit logging, cloud posture monitoring, runtime threat detection, and deception-based detection techniques. - Embed security into the SDLC — CI/CD gates, secret scanning, threat modeling, and software supply chain integrity (SBOMs, artifact signing, provenance), accounting for the new risks and review needs introduced by AI-generated code and AI-assisted development workflows. - Evaluate and adopt AI-powered security tooling — from AI-assisted pentesting and code review to anomaly detection — to help our small team punch above its weight. - Work closely with the security lead to prioritize this work, balancing finite hardening projects against the ongoing operational load of running a security program that scales with the company. - Serve as a trusted security resource for engineering teams — reviewing designs, unblocking teams on secure implementation patterns, and helping raise security literacy across the org. - Support customer and compliance conversations where deep technical credibility is needed. Qualifications - 8+ years of professional experience in application security, security engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a track record of driving substantial security initiatives from design through to production. - Deep, hands-on expertise across most of the following: cloud account/organization security (AWS preferred), IAM and least-privilege design, Kubernetes and container security, network security and zero-trust access (e.g., Tailscale, mTLS), web application security (WAF, CSP, authentication/anti-abuse), security observability (SIEM/audit logging, CSPM, runtime detection), and secure SDLC/supply chain security (SAST/DAST, secret scanning, SBOM, artifact signing). - A working understanding of how AI is currently shaping the security landscape — both offensively (AI-assisted phishing, automated exploitation, LLM-specific attack surfaces) and defensively (AI-assisted detection, code review, and pentesting) — and the judgment to separate real risk and real value from hype. - Demonstrated ability to go deep on a single domain when the problem demands it, and to reason credibly across all of them when setting priorities. - Experience threat modeling new features and influencing engineering design decisions before code is written. - Strong communication skills — able to translate security risk into terms that engineers, product managers, and leadership can act on. - Comfort operating with significant autonomy in a fast-moving environment, and pulling in the right partners across the org to get things done. Role Description Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Regional Application Engineer. This is a remote role for candidates currently residing in the Northeastern United States. Relocation is not provided. Up to 50% travel is required. The expected annual salary range for this role is $115,000 - $168,000 a year. The Regional Application Engineer is a consultative, technical sales professional responsible for supporting electrical consultants, designers, end users, and specifiers that serve the local commercial, institutional, industrial, and government municipality markets. The primary function of the Regional Application Engineer is to achieve acceptability of Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products in the marketplace, while providing technical leadership and mentoring for sales engineers, outside rep agencies, and to both internal and external customers.
