• Design, build, and maintain backend services for user controls, identity, and security across the platform. • Develop and strengthen secure content sharing capabilities, ensuring the right users have access to the right data under the appropriate conditions. • Contribute to Data Studio and related tools that expose platform data to internal and external users. • Work on Dgraph internals when needed while building services and applications on top of Dgraph. • Partner with platform, infrastructure, and integrations teams to maintain consistent identity and security primitives across the ecosystem. • Drive technical decisions around data access patterns, permissions models, and secure sharing architecture. • Write high-quality, well-tested code in Go and Python with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning for the data platform.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in backend or platform engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Go and Python.
- Experience building identity, access control, permissions, authentication, authorization, or other security-focused systems.
- Comfortable working across the full stack, with a strong preference and expertise in backend services.
- Experience with graph databases (Dgraph or similar) is highly preferred.
- Interest in contributing to database internals is a plus.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing within the United States.

This role is responsible for the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the systems powering integrations, agents, and workflows across the platform.
