Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer on the POS team, you'll work directly across the core POS codebase: the React Native and Expo application, the Python and FastAPI backend service, the Terraform infrastructure, and the Argo CD and Helm deployment configuration. You'll design, build, deploy, and operate the next generation of Cloudbeds' point-of-sale experience for hospitality properties, covering: - Staff and device access - Floor and table management - Menus, orders, kitchen operations - Split bills, tips, payments - Room charges, receipts - Offline operation and synchronization This is a hands-on product engineering role with end-to-end ownership across application code, services, infrastructure, delivery, and production reliability. Your goal is to help us deliver a POS that is intuitive for hospitality teams, dependable under real-world conditions, and scalable across properties and markets. • Lead the migration of enterprise SQL Server databases to PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and minimal downtime. • Convert and optimize SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and complex T-SQL logic into PostgreSQL/PL/ pgSQL . • Design, execute, and support database migration strategies using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Schema Conversion Tool (SCT), and replication/CDC-based cutover methodologies. • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using C# and, where applicable, Node.js. • Contribute to the modernization of the application data access layer, including development in C++ where required. • Build and support cloud-native applications and services within AWS, leveraging technologies such as Lambda, ECS, SQS, EventBridge , CloudFront, ALB, and Aurora PostgreSQL. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform and support automated deployment pipelines through GitLab CI/CD. • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver migration milestones and platform enhancements. • Contribute to application regression testing using Jest and Playwright where applicable.

• Serve as an escalation point and resolve complex technical issues. • Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or portal. • Coordinate with teams to resolve incidents quickly. • Handle daily tasks in Active Directory such as creating new user accounts, resetting passwords, and disabling accounts for leavers. • Support end-users with Windows 10/11 issues, including software installation, running Windows updates, and updating drivers. • Assist remote users with VPN connection issues to ensure they can access company data. • Document, maintain and update the knowledge base. • Communicate with clients when needed.
