Role Description The QA Manager will lead the Quality Assurance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role emphasizes test automation strategy and implementation while managing manual testing efforts as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of QA methodologies, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities - Leadership & Strategy - Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices across projects. - Manage and mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to align QA processes with business goals. - Automation - Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications. - Drive automation coverage for regression, smoke, and performance testing. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery. - Quality Assurance - Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, and system testing. - Ensure defect tracking and root cause analysis are performed effectively. - Establish metrics and KPIs to measure quality and team performance. - Tools & Technologies - Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, and API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured). - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). - Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript). - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills - Experience with Shift-Left Testing and early QA involvement in SDLC. - Knowledge of performance testing and security testing practices. - Familiarity with AI-based testing tools and automation accelerators.
