As a remote Field Service professional, you’ll be the face of STERIS inside hospital environments—bringing operating rooms and sterile processing departments the reliability they count on. A day in this role: - Start your day from home, review your schedule, and head to a hospital with your company-provided vehicle, phone, and laptop. - Diagnose and repair surgical support equipment—sterilizers, washers, ultrasonics, steam generators, and cart washers. - Handle new installs and upgrades across mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems. What you’ll own: - Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain STERIS and competitive equipment used in surgical and sterile processing settings. - Independently plan your day to complete preventive maintenance, service and warranty calls, installations, and field upgrade programs. - Use digital tools to document work, meet regulatory compliance needs, and escalate complex issues with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management. - Present repair options, pricing, and timelines to Customers; collaborate with Sales to enhance Customer experience and spot revenue opportunities. - Support multiple facilities within your territory based on Customer contracts and needs. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of work experience, including 2+ years in a mechanical/technical role. - An Associate’s degree, relevant certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may count toward the technical requirement. - Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet background and physical assessment elements required to obtain and maintain vendor credentialing. - Experience engaging with Customers and teammates; clear written and verbal communication. - Comfort with basic computer tasks (Windows, email, navigation, mobile apps, and data entry across multiple systems). - Flexibility for early/late hours and occasional overnights based on Customer and business needs; ability to meet hospital/Customer credentialing requirements. Benefits - Pay range for this opportunity is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00. Role Description As the LV Field Service Power Distribution Engineer, you will support our customers with the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Eaton LV equipment. - Travel within the UK region and deliver commissioning, testing maintenance, and SAT services for Eaton LV equipment in line with safety standards. - Act as the primary customer contact during site activities and installation projects. - Prepare RAMS, including arrangements for high-voltage and high-current testing. - Develop and execute SAT test plans based on specifications, drawings, and relay settings. - Perform LV testing and commissioning, including primary plant testing and functional testing of switchgear. - Interpret electrical drawings and challenge omissions where required. - Support project delivery by working closely with Project Management to meet timelines. - Lead on-site activities when required and support/coach other service engineers.
