Customer Service Engineer 2 – Diagnostics
Siemens Healthineers
• You will be servicing DX Equipment in the NYC (All Boroughs) / Long Island area. • You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. • You will be responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction. • You will manage financial performance within their territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management. • You will manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
- Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
- X years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.

• Commissioning and startup of high purity water and wastewater systems • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues and drive solutions • Conduct site surveys, system testing, and performance validation • Work with PLC controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and process instrumentation • Work on various low-voltage and power systems including 24 VDC, 120 VAC, 220 VAC, 208/277 VAC, 480 VAC • Interpret and update P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation • Provide on-site customer training and technical support • Support equipment maintenance, including pumps, valves, and piping systems • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
• Maintains effective communications with key customers and field team members to ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate. • Maintains frequent contact with key customers which requires a high degree of tact and courtesy. • Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter. • Performs highly complex diagnostic procedures. • Prepares reports for senior leadership displaying interpreted test information to resolve design/system related problems and to ensure continuous improvement. • Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership. • Ensures that key customers and field teams are kept informed on outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
