Site Safety Manager
Ameresco
• Oversee the preparation of site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analysis for assigned projects • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and adopted standards • Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA requirements and employees are trained in proper use • Conduct safety audits of assigned project site(s) ensuring work is being accomplished safely, and occupational health is not compromised • Ensure incidents are reported, investigated, under-go comprehensive root-cause analysis, and corrective actions implemented to minimize the likelihood of repeat occurrence • Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings as required • Work with project supervision and management to create safety solutions to safety problems • Foster and maintain a positive safety culture for the project personnel • Maintain all safety certifications as required by contracts • Conduct monthly safety meetings for project staff • Ability to travel as needed to support construction safety operations • Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction safety
- Must be organized, proactive and have proven experience in OSHA Compliance
- CHST or CSP certifications preferred
- Current OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Safety Certification
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, and other basic computer skills
- Skillful communicator in both verbal and written communication
- A great listener who can communicate professionally and in an open and positive approach.
