Role Description We are seeking an ambitious and accomplished Principal Product Manager to join our Product team. Backblaze’s B2 cloud object storage offers multi-exabyte, S3-compatible, globally available object storage that unlocks app builder innovation across AI neoclouds and traditional hyperscalers at a fraction of the cost of traditional cloud infrastructure hyperscalers. The Principal Product Manager for B2 will work closely with key stakeholders to understand the evolution of cloud storage and the customer problems in the space, and determine product strategies and roadmap to address those problems. This person will work independently to lead efforts for new feature discovery and delivery, as well as improvements to execute on those strategies. Understanding customer problems through interviews and market research, and translating them into requirements, is critical. What You'll Do - Drive B2 product strategy and roadmap development through delivery execution. - Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from discovery through delivery in feature development. - Gather and synthesize inputs for discovery and prioritization from internal functions, customers, and partners across the full spectrum of R&D development, including feature capabilities, user experience challenges, cost optimization, and technical debt. - Translate complex customer challenges into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams. - Collaborate with Product Marketing to launch and drive adoption of new products and features. - Act as a subject matter expert and evangelist for Backblaze's solutions, presenting to customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams. - Establish and track key product metrics (KPIs), using data to guide iteration and growth decisions. - Maintain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in the object storage market, including customer use cases and competitive offerings, to identify new opportunities and ensure Backblaze’s market leadership position. Qualifications - 8+ years of Product Management experience in tech businesses, preferably on IaaS and/or SaaS offerings. - A proven track record of successfully launching and scaling technical products or platforms in high-growth businesses involving in-depth cross-functional collaboration and leadership across R&D and go-to-market functions. - Strong grasp of cloud architecture, APIs, and security and compliance. - Proven success in owning product roadmaps, defining MVPs, and driving the complete product life cycle. - Strategic thinker who can translate market trends, customer needs, and technical innovations into a clear product vision and actionable roadmap. - Deep empathy for customers and users in gathering and synthesizing input, and a passion for solving their most pressing security challenges. - Outstanding communication and leadership skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach to identifying problems, determining potential solutions, and building consensus around your vision with internal and external stakeholders. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience applying data and metrics to inform product decisions and measure success. Bonus Points For - Expertise in cloud storage and computing from hyperscale and neocloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, GPU clouds, and CDNs. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - MBA degree. - Application development programming experience. - Expertise in applying GenAI in solution prototyping and agentic workflow development. Benefits - RSU grants for full-time employees. - Annual company bonus plan. - Healthcare for family, including dental and vision. - 401K. - ESPP program. - Flexible vacation policy. - Maternity and paternity leave. - MacBook Pro for work, plus a generous stipend to personalize your workstation. - Childcare bonus (human children only). - Fertility treatment and support. - Learning and development program. - Commuter benefits. - A culture that supports a healthy work-life balance.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of engagement programmes, from concept through launch, including mechanic design, reward logic, CMS configuration, acceptance criteria, and edge case management • Partner with Commercial and CRM teams to design progression systems, promotional journeys, status tiers, and competitive events that drive player engagement and revenue • Translate commercial ideas into detailed product specifications that enable Engineering to deliver with confidence • Prioritise features based on their impact on player conversion, retention, engagement, and monetisation • Define success metrics before launch, analyse feature performance, and use experimentation and A/B testing to continuously optimise engagement mechanics • Ensure Engineering and CRM teams remain aligned on delivery timelines, campaign requirements, and technical constraints • Champion AI-enhanced ways of working, using AI tools to accelerate research, specification writing, analysis, and product delivery
• Steer the ship. Own the roadmap: decide where we invest, back every call with customer evidence and data, and keep the through-line clear across everything in flight. • Find the next opportunity. Look beyond today's product for Tango's next big swing, and earn conviction the hard way: customer conversations, evidence, and small tests before big bets. • Live with our customers. Run a continuous discovery cadence, own the voice of the customer internally, and turn what users ask for into what they actually need. You'll be the person in the company who knows our customers best. • Hold the bar and measure the impact. Define what "up to par" means for what we ship, drive post-launch analysis, and be the honest voice on whether we accomplished what we set out to do. • Own rollout planning. Take launches from PRD through go-to-market: sequencing, packaging, enablement, and the post-launch loop. • Lead our AI and MCP platform work. Define how Tango plugs into the agentic ecosystem and ship AI features that solve real workflows, not demos. • Partner with a world-class design team. Write strong PRDs and watch three senior designers carry them further than you thought possible. They love discovery and product thinking, so you'll do your best work with them, not around them, while owning prioritization, rollout, and commercial rigor.
