Job Description
Senior Product Manager
Wire
Role Description As Senior Product Manager, you will own the why and the what for one of Wire’s product scopes: its vision, strategy and outcomes. You will set direction, prioritise the problems worth solving, and represent your scope’s priorities to leadership, commercial teams, partners and customers. You will work in close tandem with a Product Owner, who owns the backlog and leads the scope’s day-to-day rituals, from refinement and sprint planning to demos and retrospectives, so that you can focus on strategy, stakeholders and outcomes. - Set your scope’s vision, strategy and roadmap priorities, and decide which problems it pursues and in what order of value. - Frame problems and timelines in Product Requirement Documents, and keep the roadmap current and aligned with Wire’s overall product strategy. - Represent your scope at the product board, presenting priorities and trade-offs, and carry board decisions back into the scope. - Maintain a close knowledge of the client pipeline and partnership commitments, and reflect them in your scope’s priorities. - Act as the voice of the product with commercial teams, customers, partners and regulators, translating market and compliance needs into product decisions. - Partner with your Product Owner on the calls that sit between strategy and delivery, such as whether to ship with a non-critical bug or fix it first, and accept or reject delivered outcomes against the problem you set. Qualifications - Significant experience in product management at senior level, with a track record of owning a product area end to end, from strategy through to outcomes. - Strong strategic and analytical thinking: you can frame ambiguous problems, prioritise ruthlessly, and make the trade-offs that matter. - Excellent stakeholder management and commercial acumen, comfortable representing product priorities to leadership, sales, partners and customers. - Confidence writing clear, well-reasoned Product Requirement Documents and presenting them credibly at a product board. - Ideally, experience partnering with a Product Owner or equivalent delivery role, with a clear sense of where product strategy ends and delivery orchestration begins. - Familiarity with Jira Product Discovery, or an equivalent roadmapping tool, will help you hit the ground running. - An international mindset and comfort working across markets, cultures and distributed teams is a plus. Requirements - 8+ years in product management, at senior level. - Remote EU / Berlin working location. - Reports to: Director of Product. - Desired start date: As soon as possible. Benefits - Join a market-proven company with more than 1,000 customers. - Participate in Wire’s long-term success through VSOPs. - 30 days of vacation entitlement. - Urban Sports Club subscription for mental and physical health. - Investment in professional development with an annual education budget of €1,000. - Work from a beautiful office in the heart of Berlin or choose a mix of remote work. - Enjoy fresh breakfast in the office, daily fruits, snacks, free soft drinks, and a nice Barista coffee machine. Company Description We're building a secure, easy-to-use, and feature-rich communication tool with the latest technologies. We don't just create software — we're also impacting national and international committees. Our research and development occur at our Berlin headquarters and other locations in Europe and the USA, where we embrace diversity and adhere to the strictest data protection standards. We see regulations as a foundation supporting our commitment to secure our customer's communication.
