Senior Merchandise Planner

Deckers Brands

• Develop and execute financial plans at channel, class, and style level to maximize sales and profitability • Build weekly category sales and inventory plans that align with brand and channel goals • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities • Create and oversee bottom-up style-color level sales and buy plans, ensuring alignment with top-down guidance • Partner with Merchants and Planning Operations to secure product by market and influence sizing • Present class and style level plans in DTC Investment Review for Teva • Build regular price and markdown plans based on flow calendar and product strategies • Collaborate with Wholesale and Supply Planning through buy review conversations • Lead in-season Open-to-Buy reforecasting, ensuring optimal inventory position and responding to trends • Quantify and communicate supply disruptions, pivoting strategies to achieve goals • Share inventory positions and recommendations with ecommerce, marketing, and allocation teams • Create and share financial results and reporting, presenting findings and action points in meetings • Embrace continuous improvement and develop strategies to optimize business goals

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience
  • 4+ years of merchandise planning, inventory management, buying, or finance in a retail environment
  • Forecasting experience required
  • Strong statistical analysis and communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and responsible approach
  • Curious, flexible, action-oriented, and forward-looking problem solver
  • Advanced Excel skills; systems savvy, familiarity with Oracle and Tableau preferred
  • Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of merchandise planning and retail math, with ability to mentor junior team members
