Role Description AECOM is hiring a Data Manager to oversee maintenance of data infrastructure and architecture for Oil, Gas, and Remediation projects. The successful candidate will drive data generation, storage, and processing initiatives while ensuring the implementation of effective data management solutions and best practices. - Possess an understanding of end-to-end remediation project workflows to drive process improvements. - Maintain databases and data processing systems. - Ensures data is accessible, reliable, secure, and efficiently processed. - Combines, optimizes, and manages multiple large-scale data sources. - May be responsible for creating automated reporting systems and data solutions. - Provides software solutions that move data from its source to internal databases, including data warehouses. - Responsible for maintenance of data pipelines to support data analysis and reporting. - Analyzes complex issues and recommends solutions that improve data storage processes and methodologies. - Uses judgment outside defined parameters and precedents to make decisions and resolve business and technical challenges. - Accountable for the results of assigned projects and processes. - Demonstrates strong proficiency in data programming languages. - Demonstrates strong knowledge of data optimization tools, data structures, data architecture, and data warehousing solutions. - Demonstrates strong knowledge of API (Application Programming Interface) integration to support data access, collection, distribution, transformation, and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes. - Applies algorithmic and statistical methods, data processing tools, and AI-enabled approaches to support efficient data consumption and analysis. Qualifications - BA/BS Computer Science, Information Science, Data Engineering or related field and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Experience with environmental software implementation in a consulting / O&G environment, including knowledge in one or more EDM software package(s) such as Earthsoft EQuIS Suite (Professional, Enterprise, EnviroInsite, etc.) and Locus EIM strongly preferred. - Experience in environmental data management, chemistry, analytical data validation, environmental data analysis and/or visualization. - Experience in data engineering, business intelligence (BI), or analytics development. - Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and analytical databases. Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language. - Experience developing interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence tools. - Experience designing and supporting data pipelines, data integration, and ETL/ELT processes. - Experience working with cloud-based or enterprise data warehousing solutions. - Familiarity with enterprise business systems such as Oracle, Workday, CMiC, or similar enterprise platforms. - Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, including the Power Platform, with proficiency in data analysis, automation, and reporting. - Understanding of data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
