Role Description Our client is looking for an Architectural Draftsperson who can efficiently produce accurate drawing packages for granny flat and patio projects, following our client's established offshore drafting support workflow, from project inputs through to final approved issue. - Receive project inputs from the client, including proposed site plan information, floor plan/elevation/section requirements, and any client mark-ups or reference material. - Apply the company's drafting template, title block, standard text, general construction notes, and documentation/presentation standards to each project, including compliance items such as Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) notes. - Prepare the full offshore draft version of the drawing package, covering proposed site plan, floor plan, electrical plan, kitchen and bathroom layout, elevations, and section(s) in full detail, returning an editable DWG file with a matching PDF. - Support the internal check process by ensuring drawings are accurate, well laid out, coordinated, and presented in line with the brief and company standards, ready for supervisor sign-off. - Submit completed drawing packages for internal supervisor review and approval prior to client delivery. - Action mark-ups and revision requests promptly, updating and resubmitting both DWG and PDF files through the revision loop until approved. - Deliver the final drawing set (proposed site plan, floor plan, electrical plan, kitchen and bathroom layout, elevations, and sections) in the required file format for approval, issue, and client/proposal review. - Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and version history across active projects. - Ensure all submissions are returned as editable AutoCAD DWG files with matching PDF files, in line with the client's file requirements. - Assist in adapting standard designs to suit individual site conditions and client requirements. - Manage multiple concurrent drawing packages, meeting turnaround expectations for internal review and council/proposal deadlines. Qualifications - 1-3 years of drafting experience - AutoCAD 3D proficiency required. - Comfortable following a structured drafting workflow with defined templates, standard notes, and revision/approval stages. - Understanding of residential building drawing conventions (site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical plans, kitchen/bathroom layouts). - Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects/drawing sets concurrently. - Ability to action mark-ups and feedback accurately and resubmit within expected timeframes. - Comfortable working with either macOS or Windows (device flexible). - Bonus: experience with granny flat, patio, or small-scale residential/modular building projects. Role Description ICF is seeking a Principal Landscape Architect with a background in ecological restoration/water resources planning and design; parks, trails, and open space design; and business development to join our Pacific Northwest Ecosystem Restoration, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering Practice. You will support the growth and development of our team as a technical leader, mentor to junior staff, and principal contributor to business development activities. Position available in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, WA. The option to work remotely within the PNW will also be considered. This is a flexible hourly position with an initial expectation of up to 4 hours/week, with the option of increasing hours as project work increases. Key Responsibilities - Work with ICF’s cross-regional Ecosystem Restoration, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering Practice members and colleagues from our conservation planning, climate resilience, disaster management, fisheries and aquatic science, and environmental and regulatory compliance teams to develop a business development strategy for the PNW and to develop specific client and teaming partner relationships to capture and win project work. - Lead/contribute to the design of ecological restoration projects. - Lead/contribute to the design of parks, trails, and open space projects. - Provide technical review of construction documents including plans, estimates of probable construction cost, and technical specifications. - Lead/contribute to business development efforts, including developing relationships with potential clients and teaming partners. - Lead/contribute to development of proposals, including scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. - Mentor junior landscape architects, engineers, and restoration designers. - Be a positive, curious, organized, innovative, committed, self-motivated, and supportive addition to our local office environment and regional practice.
