Job Description

Senior Marketing Manager

Inspiration Mobility Group

Role Description Your mission is to build and execute the marketing engine that drives Inspiration's growth, from generating demand and capturing leads to enabling our sales team and shaping how the market understands our brand. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will own the full marketing lifecycle: - Designing multi-channel campaigns that fill the top of the funnel. - Nurturing prospects through to conversion. - Arming the commercial team with compelling collateral and talking points. - Listening to the market to continuously sharpen our messaging and positioning. You'll be both strategist and practitioner, comfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves to get it done, as Inspiration scales its go-to-market engine in the electric mobility space. Key Responsibilities - Own demand generation strategy and execution: design and run multi-channel campaigns (email, paid, content, events) that drive qualified pipeline and measurable revenue impact. - Build and manage lifecycle marketing programs that move prospects from awareness through conversion and into long-term customer relationships, including onboarding, nurture, and re-engagement sequences. - Develop lead generation initiatives across inbound and outbound channels, partnering with sales to define ICP, optimize lead scoring, and accelerate pipeline velocity. - Partner with our Sales Enablement and Proposal Manager to develop and maintain sales enablement materials (one-pagers, pitch decks, case studies, competitive battle cards, and customer-facing talking points) that equip the commercial team to win. - Partner with the Head of Marketing to own messaging and positioning for Inspiration's products, services, and company narrative; translate complex fleet, energy, and technology concepts into clear, compelling language for buyers, partners, and investors. - Monitor market conversations (forums, LinkedIn, industry communities, competitor channels, and customer feedback loops) to surface insights that inform messaging, product positioning, and campaign strategy. - Collaborate with leadership to develop thought leadership content, investor communications, and executive talking points that reinforce Inspiration's position as an industry innovator. - Partner with product, sales, and customer success to ensure marketing is tightly integrated with go-to-market strategy and real-world customer feedback. - Manage the marketing calendar and performance reporting, and support budget planning with the Head of Marketing, tracking KPIs across the funnel and continuously optimizing programs based on data. Qualifications - 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with demonstrated success across demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and/or growth marketing; experience in fleet, transportation, energy, climate tech, or enterprise SaaS is a strong plus. - Strong generalist who can own both strategy and execution: built campaigns from scratch, written copy, briefed agencies, and analyzed results without needing to hand off to a full team. - Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar), CRM tools (Salesforce), and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Looker, or similar). - Proven ability to develop messaging and positioning: can interview customers, synthesize competitive intelligence, and translate technical concepts into narratives that resonate with buyers. - Skilled communicator and content creator: comfortable writing one-pagers, email sequences, executive talking points, and long-form content with minimal oversight. - Fluent in reading market signals: knows how to monitor forums, communities, and social channels to extract insights that sharpen positioning and campaign strategy. - Strong cross-functional instincts: knows how to partner with sales, product, and leadership to align marketing efforts with business priorities and revenue goals. - Core values are part of your inherent DNA, with examples of demonstrating these values in your career. Salary $110,000 - $130,000 + bonus eligible Location This role is remote eligible. However, we have an office in Washington, DC. Our in-office team works from our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday. Remote work on Mondays and Fridays is voluntary, and employees are welcome to work from the office if they’d prefer. Benefits - Fast-growing, mission-driven team tackling real, complex challenges at the intersection of transportation, energy, technology, and finance. - Autonomy to take ownership, move quickly, and turn ideas into action. - Leadership that values pragmatism, creativity, and momentum. - Clear accountability, low ego, and learning as we go—giving you the chance to shape how we operate, scale, and win. - Meaningful impact on the future of mobility. Role Description We're hiring a Marketing Coordinator to help drive awareness, engagement, and community growth as we prepare for public launch. This is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of marketing experience who wants startup exposure without the "figure it out from zero" pressure — our systems are built, we need someone to help run and improve them. What You'll Do in Your First 7 Days - You've reviewed our current marketing channels, content calendar, and campaign workflows. - You've gotten access to our tools and started familiarizing yourself with the stack. - You've attended your first team standup and have a feel for how we communicate and prioritize. - You've drafted or scheduled your first round of social content. - The team knows who you are, why you're here, and how you'll work together. What You'll Do Ongoing - Manage social media scheduling and posting — keep our channels active and consistent across platforms. - Coordinate campaign launches — help the team get campaigns from concept to live, on time. - Engage with communities — monitor and participate in relevant online communities where our audience hangs out. - Support content creation — draft social posts, email copy, and light blog content. - Track and report on performance — pull basic metrics and flag what's working and what isn't. Qualifications - 1-3 years of marketing experience (agency, in-house, freelance, or internship — all count). - Comfortable with social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, or similar). - Can write clear, engaging copy for social and email without heavy editing. - Organized and self-directed — you don't need daily check-ins to stay on track. - Strong async communicator — you document your work and flag issues proactively. Requirements - Experience in startup or small-team environments (nice-to-have). - Basic analytics skills (Google Analytics, social platform insights) (nice-to-have). - Design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar) (nice-to-have). - Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments (nice-to-have). What You're NOT - Not a senior strategist role — you'll have input, but this is an execution-first seat. - Not a solo marketing department — you'll work alongside a GTM team, not replace one. - Not a pure design role — light creative work, but we're not hiring for graphic design. Compensation Up to $80,000 max total annual compensation in Tier 1 cities; cash and equity components to be negotiated. Given the flexible commitment model, comp will be structured accordingly — fractional or hourly arrangements welcome.
